Vatic Note: Please keep in mind when reading what the SPLC says about anything, that they have already set up two publications that did not confirm the lies SPLC told them and both Raw Story and Daily Kos had to apologize to the right and retract the entire story. Here is proof their are camps and they were hiring guards as late as August 2009. http://targetfreedom.typepad.com/targetfreedom/2009/08/fed-now-hiring-concentration-camp-guards.html
Also remember, DIVIDE AND CONQUOR between Americans is the name of the game. Pit the left against the right so that civil war will be conducted against those that are armed which is, SURPRISE, SURPRISE, the right. The bad guys need martial law in order to eliminate all constitutional protections and Bill of Rights, and that legislation is in congress to treat anybody the president says, as an enemy combatant and deprive them of their due process and protections against political incarceration. Give both of those, you can see where an article like this is going and we wanted to show you that and to tell you how important it is WHEN YOU GET PROPOGANDA LIKE THIS, TO BE SURE AND RESEARCH IT YOURSELVES. I saw the FEMA site advertizing for those guards for those camps. I also saw the articles from the MSM owned by the bankers and Israeli's confirming that Obama turned the internment camps over to FEMA from the military. So they exist... they were built under Bush and more now under Obama. So they are there for a reason AND REMEMBER OUR ARTICLE ON THE TWO DRONES BEING RELEASED TO FLY OVER TEXAS.... WHY???? THE NEW REEMERGING SUPERHIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION THAT WILL DIVIDE THE NATION IN HALF. keep all of this in mind. Its now serious enough to spend the time finding out the truth before accepting something like this article which is full of lies. SPLC is at it again. Don't forget they are also an arm of Mossad in this country. They used to be good guys but that has changed I am sorry to say.
Aided by Glenn Beck, Conspiracy Theories Bloom Over FEMA 'Concentration Camps'
By Larry Keller, SPLC Intelligence Report

MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala. -- It looks like nothing more than a 2,500-acre military complex, but sinister plans are afoot. One day soon -- if it hasn't happened already -- law-abiding U.S. citizens will be rounded up and imprisoned here by their oppressive federal government. It's perfectly obvious to anyone with eyes to see the traffic signs that direct FEMA trucks this way and that: This is one of the 800 or more detention camps being built by a government gone mad.
At least that's what more and more Americans believe. A fear that the federal government will concoct a pretense for declaring martial law and confine patriotic dissidents to concentration camps -- a conspiracy theory that goes back decades and was especially prevalent during the militia movement of the 1990s -- is spreading as the country experiences a surge in groups on the radical right.

Collateral Damages of Smart Sanctions
Tuesday 23 March 2010
by: Ali Fathollah-Nejad, t r u t h o u t | Op-Ed
In contradistinction to war, sanctions are widely portrayed as necessary, almost a healthy medicine to bring about change in the opponent’s policies. However, as the history of the West–Iran conflict proves, sanctions have kept the crisis alive rather than contribute to its resolution. Nonetheless, Western governments do not seem to have lost their dubious fascination for them.
As the call for "crippling sanctions' became morally questionable last summer when the impressive Green wave shook the streets of Tehran for fear of wrecking the same, today the benign-sounding "smart" or "targeted" sanctions are on the tip of everyone’s tongue. Yet a close look reveals a great deal of wishful thinking as to the effects of such sanctions.

Drone Wars, Without Any Rules
Drone Wars, Without Any Rules

The CIA's extensive use of unmanned drones to kill alleged terrorists in Pakistan and elsewhere is arguably against international law and raises the possibility that top U.S. officials will someday be tried at the Hague for war crimes, a law professor told a congressional oversight panel on Tuesday.
Despite the rapidly increasing use of drones in warfare and anti-terrorism -- and the legal and ethical issues their use raises -- the U.S. government has never publicly advanced a legal justification for sending its drones on targeted killing runs overseas; up until Tuesday, Congress hadn't even held a single hearing into the question.

Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney Fearmonger in a Desperate Neocon Plot to Take Over Washington

I'm sure not many fathers think about whether their children will defend them one day from accusations that they ordered torture. Dick Cheney would probably be one of the few who has--and how nice that he got that lucky. Since her father left office, Liz Cheney has been his most visible and effective advocate. She's given speeches at conservative gatherings, written op-eds for publications like the Wall Street Journal and made dozens of television appearances, all aimed at defending her father's record and carrying his standard. And occasionally she finds herself having to claim that a technique developed by torturers as a method of torture (waterboarding) was not really torture when her father approved it.
To a lesser extent than his daughter, but still at an unprecedented level for a former vice president, Dick Cheney has also taken a highly public role, popping up regularly to attack the Obama administration's national security decisions. This past May, explaining her father's inordinately high profile, Liz said on MSNBC, "I don't think he planned to be doing this, you know, when they left office in January," but the administration's policy shifts, as well as the concern that "perhaps [Obama] would even be prosecuting former members of the Bush administration," had necessitated the former VP's re-emergence. During this period, the Washington Monthly's Steve Benen counted "12 appearances, in nine and a half days, spanning four networks" for the younger Cheney.
The right's most famous father-daughter act has also been active behind the scenes. Liz has allied with neoconservative mover Bill Kristol to found Keep America Safe, infamous of late for its ads attacking as traitorous Justice Department lawyers who once "represented or advocated for terrorist detainees." The ad was so scurrilous that even Republican lawyers and Bush administration officials like former Attorney General Michael Mukasey and former Solicitor General Ted Olson condemned it. But whatever blowback the neocon attack machine may suffer for this particular overreach, the "Department of Jihad" smear is nonetheless a startling declaration that they just don't give a damn. (After all, what's a bit of rank dishonesty in an effort to head off almost certain Islamofascist doom?) With the Cheneys on board, neocons have become increasingly brazen in their accusations that President Obama is "inviting the next attack" by not sufficiently embracing the fact that "we are at war."

$6 Billion Later, Afghan Cops Aren't Ready to Serve

Mohammad Moqim watches in despair as his men struggle with their AK-47 automatic rifles, doing their best to hit man-size targets 50 meters away. A few of the police trainees lying prone in the mud are decent shots, but the rest shoot clumsily, and fumble as they try to reload their weapons. The Afghan National Police (ANP) captain sighs as he dismisses one group of trainees and orders 25 more to take their places on the firing line. "We are still at zero," says Captain Moqim, 35, an eight-year veteran of the force. "They don't listen, are undisciplined, and will never be real policemen."
Poor marksmanship is the least of it. Worse, crooked Afghan cops supply much of the ammunition used by the Taliban, according to Saleh Mohammed, an insurgent commander in Helmand province. The bullets and rocket-propelled grenades sold by the cops are cheaper and of better quality than the ammo at local markets, he says. It's easy for local cops to concoct credible excuses for using so much ammunition, especially because their supervisors try to avoid areas where the Taliban are active. Mohammed says local police sometimes even stage fake firefights so that if higher-ups question their outsize orders for ammo, villagers will say they've heard fighting.
America has spent more than $6 billion since 2002 in an effort to create an effective Afghan police force, buying weapons, building police academies, and hiring defense contractors to train the recruits—but the program has been a disaster. More than $322 million worth of invoices for police training were approved even though the funds were poorly accounted for, according to a government audit, and fewer than 12 percent of the country's police units are capable of operating on their own. Ambassador Richard Holbrooke, the State Department's top representative in the region, has publicly called the Afghan police "an inadequate organization, riddled with corruption." During the Obama administration's review of Afghanistan policy last year, "this issue received more attention than any other except for the question of U.S. troop levels," Holbrooke later told NEWSWEEK. "We drilled down deep into this."

Netanyahu: Non-Negotiator or Pragmatist?

As President Obama prepares for his meeting today with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a look at Netanyahu's track record on Jerusalem leaves one wondering whether Obama is dealing with a non-negotiator or a pragmatist.
President Obama will meet privately today with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Oval Office dining room. This is Netanyahu's second closed meeting in a row, after his meeting with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was moved at the last minute from the State Department with press availability to Netanyahu's hotel suite. The prime minister appears to be showing some distance from the United States, if only in photo-ops.
Netanyahu's meetings come on the heels of the annual American Israel Political Affairs Committee (AIPAC) Policy Conference, where both Netanyahu and Clinton spoke. AIPAC, with more than 100,000 members, refers to itself as "America's Pro-Israel Lobby" and is often considered to be one of the most powerful lobbying organizations in the United States.
The meetings are ostensibly taking place in an attempt to repair the damage done when the Israeli government announced that another 1,600 Israeli settlements would be built in East Jerusalem on the same day Vice President Joe Biden arrived in Israel with US Middle East peace envoy George Mitchell in an attempt to get both Israelis and Palestinians back to the negotiating table.

Uncomfortable at the spectacle of the Obama administration in an open confrontation with the Israeli government, Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman -- who represents the interests of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party on Capitol Hill as faithfully as he does those of the health insurance industry -- called for a halt. "Let's cut the family fighting, the family feud," he said. "It's unnecessary; it's destructive of our shared national interest. It's time to lower voices, to get over the family feud between the U.S. and Israel. It just doesn't serve anybody's interests but our enemies."
The idea that the U.S. and Israel are "family" with identical national interests is a convenient fiction that Lieberman and his fellow Israel partisans have worked relentlessly to promote -- and enforce -- in Washington over the past two decades. If the bonds are indeed familial, however, last week's showdown between Washington and the Netanyahu government may be counted as one of those feuds in which truths are uttered in the heat of the moment that call into question the fundamental terms of the relationship. Such truths are never easily swept under the rug once the dispute is settled. The immediate rupture, that is, precludes a simple return to the status quo ante; instead, a renegotiation of the terms of the relationship somehow ends up on the agenda.

Is the United States of American now a colony/territory of the Israeli Empire?
Vatic Note: We are a colony of Israel, they use our wealth and blood of our children for their empire building. Treason is the tool, and occupation and coup has been the game. Yes, the model that was in place at the amsterdam Airport security handled by Israel, where that panty bomber got through "SECURITY" with no luggage on a transatlantic flight, paid cash for the ticket through a "handler" who now turns out to be a CIA/mossad operative, and where the bombers name was not on the terrorist watch list, yet he had been released from GITMO personally by Dick Cheney and whose father in Nigeria worked with and for Mossad of Israel. Yup, you can tell what kind of security they want and need here, can't ya? They control just about everything else in the country now, so why not the airports and ultimately transportion, we will soon be locked down. We now are an after thought of Israel. However, they should know something important..... the people here are not Palestinians. Its obvious our leaders are, but we, the people are not. That is going to be their biggest problem. That and their arrogance.

US official says Israel's security protocols 'offer blueprint for trying to thwart terrorism plots in aviation system'
Reuters
President Barack Obama's nominee to oversee security at US airports said on Tuesday he wants to shift screening closer to the Israeli model to include more behavior detection in a bid to thwart terrorism plots.
Retired Major General Robert Harding was nominated earlier this month to head the Transportation Security Administration after serving more than three decades in the military, including a stint as deputy to the Army's chief of intelligence and director for operations in the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Aviation security has received heightened attention in recent months after a Nigerian man tried to blow up a US commercial airliner flying from Amsterdam to Detroit last Christmas with a bomb hidden in his underwear.
Harding said that while the Israeli security system was smaller, it offered a blueprint for trying to thwart terrorism plots in the aviation system, which has remained a target for militant groups like al-Qaeda.
"We should move even closer to an Israeli model where there's more engagement with passengers," Harding told the Senate Commerce Committee that is considering his nomination. "I think that increases the layers and pushes the layers out."
He said the TSA had about 2,000 behavioral detection officers (?) and that expanded training was needed.
The top TSA position has been filled by an acting administrator since Obama took office in January 2009. His first pick for the job, Erroll Southers, withdrew from consideration when Republicans questioned whether he would try to unionize the workforce that screens travelers and luggage at U.S. airports.

Ron Paul: “If it was a good program and everybody liked it, you wouldn’t need 16,500 thugs coming with their guns and putting you in jail if you didn’t follow all the rules”
Paul Joseph Watson
Tuesday, March 23, 2010
If the health care bill was such a positive act of reform, as establishment Democrats and the corporate media are pitching it, then how come it needs to be enforced by means of coercion at the hands of thousands of armed IRS thugs?
That was the context of the discussion during Ron Paul’s appearance on Fox Business’ America’s Nightly Scoreboard last night, as the Congressman continued to speak out against the tyrannical nature of Obamacare.
Paul emphasized the need to protect the private option in health care as a fundamental right for all Americans not to be reliant on the government for their services.
“During this debate they talked a whole lot about the public option, I just wish they would protect the private option, give us a chance to have it private, just like you should have a chance to have private education, home schooling, you should always protect that….if you always had a private option in medicine some of us could survive and at least we could set an example for the type of medicine that the people should be getting,” said the Congressman.
Host David Asman pointed out that it would now be illegal to have private health care and that people would be forced to buy insurance under the constant glare of the 16,000 plus new IRS agents being hired to harass people into compliance [2] to the new program.
Under Obamacare, $10 billion dollars is allocated to pay for 16,500 IRS agents who will collect and enforce mandatory “premiums.”
(ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW)
[3]
Paul said that the people who previously needed to carry the least insurance would now be forced to carry the maximum, and be hounded by the IRS as a result.
“This is a command society now and medicine is right at the forefront of this….16,500 armed bureaucrats coming to make this program work – if it was a good program and everybody liked it, you wouldn’t need 16,500 thugs coming with their guns and putting you in jail if you didn’t follow all the rules,” said Paul.
The Congressman highlighted the fact that people don’t trust the government’s record on social programs, pointing out that Medicare, Medicaid and the Post Office are all bankrupt, and that the majority of Americans have little confidence in Obamacare being any different.
Paul said there was a chance parts of the bill would be overturned if Republicans were victorious in November, but that the biggest threat to the legislation was the probability that the entire system would collapse, labeling Obamacare a “Horrendous new burden that we have placed on the economy.”

Benjamin Netanyahu: At the same AIPAC CONFERENCE:
“The Jewish people were building Jerusalem 3,000 years ago and the Jewish people are building Jerusalem today! Jerusalem is NOT a settlement it’s our Capital. Everyone knows – everyone – Americans, Europeans; Israeli’s certainly, Palestinians: EVERYONE knows that these neighborhoods will be part of Israel in any peace settlement. And therefore ‘building in them’ in no way precludes the possibility of a two-state solution.”

“For president Obama and for me and for our entire administration: Our commitment to Israel’s security and Israel’s future is rock-solid unwavering and enduring FOREVER!

Thanks Linda for sharing your feelings and allowing those feelings to be aired in a public forum.

Dear Vatic...I wrote this last night; perhaps you can post it.
After watching the Health Care Reform bill vote, I am convinced we, the people, have got to raise the bar regarding our government, whether they be Democrats or Republicans or Independents.
I've always thought leaders were supposed to show diplomacy and emotional restraint under pressure. Our Congress's behavior was embarrassing and degrading to us, the American people.
Both Republicans and Democrats have misled us over time. Bush & Cheney were in office when 911 happened; yet, claim to have kept us safe during their administration. They "erased" the surplus of cash raised during the Clinton administration and led us into the huge deficit we now face; yet, claim no responsibility for that and have led the charge to blame Obama.
The Republicans may not have voted for the Health Care Reform bill; however, they sure were in office and involved during 911 and responsible for backing our involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan along with the Democrats. The Republicans are saying the American taxpayers do not want their tax money spent on abortion....we, the American taxpayers do not want our money spent on the two wars and on the corporate bailouts...did they listen then and are they listening now...the hypocrisy of both parties is incredible!
I've zeroed in on the Republicans because right now they are "leading" a very ugly campaign regarding the Health Reform bill that is creating violence in our streets....this is a very serious matter. But democrats are no different, making this all seem like just a game for our benefit.
Both parties flip-flop often, break their campaign promises, ignore representing us, the people; and, instead, do what is best for their own political careers. Let us, the people, put ourselves first, by voting for the best person, regardless of Republican or Democrat, or Independent, for that matter - stopping our own "flip-flopping" every time we allow ourselves to be drawn into the ugly politics and campaign smears of our representatives.
Our behavior, as Americans, is at a very low point, to say the least! Our politicians certainly are not upholding the values of a leadership nation. If anything, they are and have made a mockery of what democracy was meant to stand for in the eyes of ourselves and the world. Let us rise above their examples and become the leaders of what our country was meant to be...let us rise above and become a people united for what is good, and right, and just, kind and compassionate in the world! submitted by Linda LoCastro

Rotarix rotavirus vaccine contaminated, officials say - PART II

About 1 million children in the United States and about 30 million worldwide have gotten Rotarix vaccine, the FDA says.
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
Doctors have been advised to suspend use of Rotarix rotavirus vaccine
Another vaccine, RotaTeq, is still OK to use, officials say
GlaxoSmithKline, maker of Rotarix, says the contamination is not harmful
(CNN) -- Federal health authorities recommended Monday that doctors suspend using Rotarix, one of two vaccines licensed in the United States against rotavirus, saying the vaccine is contaminated with material from a pig virus.
"There is no evidence at this time that this material poses a safety risk," Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr. Margaret Hamburg told reporters in a conference call.
Rotarix, made by GlaxoSmithKline, was approved by the FDA in 2008. The contaminant material is DNA from porcine circovirus 1, a virus from pigs that is not known to cause disease in humans or animals, Hamburg said.
About 1 million children in the United States and about 30 million worldwide have gotten Rotarix vaccine, she said.
Rotavirus disease kills more than 500,000 infants around the world each year, primarily in low- and middle-income countries, she said. Before rotavirus vaccine became available, the disease was blamed for more than 50,000 hospitalizations and several dozen deaths per year in the United States, she said.
The FDA learned about the contamination after an academic research team using a novel technique to look for viruses in a range of vaccines found the material in GlaxoSmithKline's product and told the company, Hamburg said. The drug maker confirmed its presence in both the cell bank and the seed from which the vaccine is derived, suggesting its presence from the early stages of vaccine development, she said. The FDA then confirmed the drug maker's findings.
GlaxoSmithKline emphasized Monday that the pig virus is not known to cause illness in humans, saying "it is found in everyday meat products and is frequently eaten with no resulting disease or illness."
"No safety issue has been identified by external agencies or GSK," Thomas Breuer, the drug maker's chief medical officer, said in a written statement. "GSK is committed to patient safety and to the highest manufacturing standards for all our vaccines and medicines. We are already working closely and discussing this finding with regulatory agencies around the world."
Another vaccine, RotaTeq, is made by Merck and was approved in 2006. There is no evidence that the Merck product is affected, Hamburg said. Both vaccines are given by mouth to infants to prevent rotavirus disease, which is marked by severe diarrhea and dehydration.

Vatic Note: These are the members of the board of GlaxoSmithKline, and placed up here first for a purpose, to show you that since 2005 a major change in board composition took place in this international drug company and most of these appointed look suspiciously familiar in their backgrounds as other neocon owned and controlled companies, AIG insurance comes to mind. We have a chemcial company expert, a mining and gas energy expert, Huh? and we have our usual slew of bankers and private equity reps from wall street. Keep these in mind when you read the article about the contamination and check out the board member brought on to accelerate and facilitate the quicker entrance to market of these drugs. Not about the quality control, or the preservation of their reputation etc, rather the speedy to market drug process, with a news group rep on board to cover that eventuality should something go wrong. So is this just simple greed or intentional for planned depopulation & eugenics issues. These questions must be asked regardless of where it leads us as long as its to "truth". .

Medicating the military
Vatic Note: 5th time trying to put this up. LOL No one is as stubborn as I am. Why is this story not in the MSM? Why is the military causing a spike in these medications along with a dangerous mix of other meds??? It affects the efficiency and functionality of our military, so why? Is it for domestic considerations? Is it for GITMO type building of assassins? What is the reason. Whatever it is, its nefarious given the 10 year history of the horrors visited upon our country by these cretins who occupy our gov.

Now, on with the article.
At least one in six service members is on some form of psychiatric drug.
And many troops are taking more than one kind, mixing several pills in daily “cocktails” — for example, an antidepressant with an antipsychotic to prevent nightmares, plus an anti-epileptic to reduce headaches — despite minimal clinical research testing such combinations.
The drugs come with serious side effects: They can impair motor skills, reduce reaction times and generally make a war fighter less effective. Some double the risk for suicide, prompting doctors — and Congress — to question whether these drugs are connected to the rising rate of military suicides.
“It’s really a large-scale experiment. We are experimenting with changing people’s cognition and behavior,” said Dr. Grace Jackson, a former Navy psychiatrist.

Trans Texas Corridor racing ahead
Vatic Note: Remember the two Drones to be used in Texas to "so called protect the ignored border" all of a sudden? See http://vaticproject.blogspot.com/2010/03/drones-may-be-sent-soon-to-help-with.html and read my Vatic note about what I believed it might be all about since it did not make sense. Well, this article fell right into that theory and now moves the issue closer to it being a more nefarious and treasonous purpose, and that is the superhighway they need militarily to protect their supply lines when they attempt to regionalize us. I still could be wrong, but as more and more comes out, its looking more and more likely this is the reasons for the ILLEGAL USE OF DRONES militarily on American soil. Our occupation is getting closer and closer at hand.

Editor's note: The Free Trade corridor network that tie Mexico, Canada and the U.S. together are a critical component of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) that was negotiated by George W. Bush and signed into law by Bill Clinton. Both Bush and Clinton were members of the Trilateral Commission. Furthermore, NAFTA's chief architect was U.S. Trade Representative Carla Hills, also a Trilateral. The Trans Texas Corridor is the first major link of this super-corridor system; if successfully completed (e.g., if Texans lose the fight to stop it again), America will be opened up like a can of sardines. Please see additional links below for other August Review articles on this topic.]
After Rick Perry's highway department announced the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC) route known as TTC-35 was "dead" in 2009, we find out post-election in 2010 that it, along with free trade, is very much alive and well. Canadian officials have shown renewed interest in a multi-modal trade corridor along I-35. Winnipeg recently announced its intention to build an inland port similar to those in San Antonio and Dallas. One such inland port in Kansas City has ceded sovereign United States territory to Canada and Mexico with the flags of all three countries flying over it. Officials in Winnipeg said it also intends to run a logistics and trade corridor to include rail and high speed highways all the way to Mexico as an Asia-Pacific gateway connecting to Toronto and Montreal.
It should surprise no one that former San Antonio Mayor Phil Hardberger and tolling authority (Alamo RMA) Chairman Bill Thornton took a trip to Toronto in 2006, partially at taxpayer expense, to promote Trans Texas Corridor-style trade connections and to be certain it includes the Port of San Antonio.
Norris Pettis, Canadian Consul General in Dallas, notes in the latest San Antonio Business Journal that "of all the urban centers I deal with, San Antonio is right up there in preaching free trade." The article also said Canadian officials observe an anti-trade sentiment in the U.S. as a whole, but see an open door in Texas, which they say doesn't share "protectionist policies."

Genetically modified mosquitos could be used to spread vaccine for malaria
Vatic Note: On this surface, this could be nothing, but the minute I hear "Genetically Engineered" I think of Mansanto and its GMO that was anything but for the good of the people on this planet. Those are killer seeds. Then the next question becomes, "what is a vaccine?" Its the inserting of the virus, although weakened, of the very virus you are trying to kill. Then I ask myself, well, then does that mean these mosquitos that might not have had the virus and bitten someone, will now have the virus and pass on that malaria to others when it might not have happened before inserting the weakened virus? Not enough answers to these questions. Worse, we have a history of bioengineering for the purposes of eugenics and depopulation as we have shown numberous times on this blog. Now it becomes important to stop all this engineering before it gets completely out of control. The last consideration is "DO WE TRUST THOSE DOING THIS?" Not anymore. Who has the most advanced bioweapons facility in the world? Israel.

Experts believe "flying vaccinators" could eventually be a radical new way of tackling malaria. The new approach targets the salivary gland of the Anopheles mosquito.
Scientists in Japan have engineered an insect producing a natural vaccine protein in its saliva which is injected into the bloodstream when it bites.
The "prototype" mosquito carries a vaccine against Leishmania, another potentially fatal parasite disease spread by sand flies.
Leishmania infection can cause painful sores, fever and weight loss and if untreated may destroy the liver and spleen. Mice bitten by the vaccinating insect generated antibodies against the Leishmania organism, indicating immunisation.
"Following bites, protective immune responses are induced, just like a conventional vaccination but with no pain and no cost," said study leader Professor Shigeto Yoshida, from Jichi Medical University in Shimotsuki, Japan.

Iceland, the Mouse that Roared (Bankers biggest nightmare) Part I
Title: Iceland, the Mouse that Roared, Part I

I thought I heard something the other night. It was a distant sound, a low rumbling, a roar from some far off beast that had finally pronounced its presence. It woke me for a second, but it was so distant I felt no threat and simply rolled over and went back to sleep. The next morning I learned that Iceland was taking a stand. It was refusing to pay its British and Dutch debts. It is claiming the debts are a result of fraud, and it's right. They have made the offer to pay some years from now, if they can afford it at that time, and only as a percentage of their GDP. This offer has been, of course, declined by Iceland's creditor banks as they demand payment in the form of real assets.
The Icelanders have grown a pair, so to speak. They are doing something I wish Americans would have done, or will do in the future. They are standing up to the privately owned banks that seem to think they are above the law, that they can change the rules at their whim, and that they alone know what's best for the world, which of course happens to empower them and help their profits. I may not agree with all the politics of Iceland. It might not be the bastion of freedom one looking to get away from intrusive government might run to, but I do admire their stance against the banksters.
Let's examine the situation a little closer. The Icelanders claim that private banks owe the money to other private banks, not taxpayers. The people who own the private banks should be responsible for paying back the creditor banks, not the people of Iceland. I agree wholeheartedly with that assessment. Furthermore, I would take it a step further and make the assertion that any government official voting for any public borrowing that requires payment of public funds for interest be held responsible, or their family be held responsible, should the loans go into default. In other words, these public officials should not be allowed to maintain their fortunes while the common folk are expected to pay for the mistakes they made. Perhaps that would help stop the corruption.
It seems that Iceland was fooled into the same ponzi scheme the rest of the world finds itself in. This all revolves around the fact that money in and of itself has no intrinsic value. It is just paper, for the most part, and in the modern world it is just data floating around in cyberspace. Even metal coins are made from cheap and common metals anymore. The fiat system devised by the central banks are designed to collapse at some point, and it's designed to collapse in such a way that the very few, very rich, very powerful end up with all the marbles. It's not enough to them, it seems, to be at the top of the heap, they have to be so high up and keep the common folk down so low as to be untouchable.

The Federal Reserve Board must disclose documents identifying financial firms that might have collapsed without the largest U.S. government bailout ever, a federal appeals court said.
The U.S. Court of Appeals in Manhattan ruled today that the Fed must release records of the unprecedented $2 trillion U.S. loan program launched primarily after the 2008 collapse of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. The ruling upholds a decision of a lower-court judge, who in August ordered that the information be released.
The Fed had argued that disclosure of the documents threatens to stigmatize borrowers and cause them “severe and irreparable competitive injury,” discouraging banks in distress from seeking help. A three-judge panel of the appeals court rejected that argument in a unanimous decision.
The U.S. Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA, “sets forth no basis for the exemption the Board asks us to read into it,” U.S. Circuit Chief Judge Dennis Jacobs wrote in the opinion. “If the Board believes such an exemption would better serve the national interest, it should ask Congress to amend the statute.”
The opinion may not be the final word in the bid for the documents, which was launched by Bloomberg LP, the parent of Bloomberg News, with a November 2008 lawsuit. The Fed may seek a rehearing or appeal to the full appeals court and eventually petition the U.S. Supreme Court.
Right to Know
If today’s ruling is upheld or not appealed by the Fed, it will have to disclose the requested records. That may lead to “catastrophic” results, including demands for the instant disclosure of banks seeking help from the Fed, resulting in a “death sentence” for such financial institutions, said Chris Kotowski, a bank analyst at Oppenheimer & Co. in New York.
“Whenever the Fed extends funds to a bank, it should be disclosed in private to the Congressional oversight committees, but to release it to the public I think would be a horrific mistake,” Kotowski said in an interview.
“It would stigmatize the banks, it would lead to all kinds of second-guessing of the Fed, and I don’t see what public purpose is served by it.”
Senator Bernie Sanders, an Independent from Vermont, said the decision was a “major victory” for U.S. taxpayers.
“This money does not belong to the Federal Reserve,” Sanders said in a statement. “It belongs to the American people, and the American people have a right to know where more than $2 trillion of their money has gone.”

BREAKING NEWS: Volcano erupts in Iceland, hundreds evacuated (HAARP?)
Vatic Note: Another HAARP? Iceland won't play with the big boys, is this the punishment? Or a warning to get back in line. Remember, we have three haarps, Puerto Rico (near Haiti), Norway (close, yes?), and Alaska.

REYKJAVIK, Iceland – A volcano erupted near a glacier in southern Iceland, shooting ash and molten lava into the air and forcing the evacuation Sunday of hundreds of people from a nearby village.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage from the volcano but a state of emergency was declared in communities near the Eyjafjallajokull glacier and scientists feared the eruption could trigger a larger and potentially more dangerous eruption at the nearby Katla volcano.
Saturday's eruption, which occurred just before midnight (2000 EDT, 8 p.m.), came weeks after a series of small earthquakes. Television footage showed lava flows along the fissure.
"This was a rather small and peaceful eruption but we are concerned that it could trigger an eruption at the nearby Katla volcano, a vicious volcano that could cause both local and global damage," said Pall Einarsson, a geophysicist at the University of Iceland's Institute of Earth Science. (vatic comment: just enough for a warning, lets see if they capitulate.)
Authorities evacuated 450 people in the area 160 kilometers (100 miles) southeast of the capital, Reykjavik, said Vidir Reynisson of the Icelandic Civil Protection Department. Evacuation centers were set up near the village of Hella.
The most immediate threat was to livestock because of the caustic gases.
"We had to leave all our animals behind," Elin Ragnarsdottir, a 47-year-old farmer, told RUV, Iceland's national broadcaster from one of the evacuation centers. "We got a call and a text message ... and we just went."
