A million library books to be sent down the mines

Vatic Note:   Sometimes, the truth is so blatant that no comments are needed, this is one of those times, except to say, what ever is going to happen is after July 2010.  Also keep the seed bank in the Arctic in mind along with the fact that both the Bildeberg meeting last month was in the Artic and so was the Banking consortium.    So, we better decide if we want them to go with us.  Also remember, this has happened thousands of years ago as archeological digs and religious writings have said.   Genesis, it speaks of the "sons of God" came up from the earth and mated with the daughters of man.   So I get this must be round three coming up.

ONE million books from Manchester's Central Library – including valuable volumes dating back to the 15th century - are to be put into temporarily storage with many going deep underground in the Cheshire salt mines.

Works from the city's reference library will be stored in the mines, hundreds of feet below ground, for the next three years while the landmark city centre site undergoes a massive refurbishment to save it from ruin.

Experts say the mine's caverns – the size of 700 football pitches - provide the perfect environment for preserving the manuscripts, which include the works of eminent academics.

A phased shut down of the St Peter's Square library will begin next month, with the site closing its doors in June. The Library Theatre, which will most likely relocate to the historic Theatre Royal, will close the following month with a celebratory show entitled Last Night at the Library.

A temporary city library will open in Elliot House, on Deansgate, where staff will also be able to arrange access to some rare reference works that are not available elsewhere in the country. All others will be stored in the salt mines from where they will be digitally catalogued but inaccessible for the duration of the refurbishment.

More than 22 miles of shelving and one million books - including more than 30 works dating back to the 15th century and 44,000 published before 1850 - will be relocated to the mines, Elliot House and other temporary locations including the Royal Northern College of Music. The project is part of multi-million pound plans to transform and modernise St Peter's Square and the Town Hall Complex, bringing services and facilities up to date and carrying out vital restoration works to the listed buildings.

Central Library will re-open in 2013 with a new state-of-the-art lending library, electronic catalogue and archive centre, to bring historic local collections under one roof. A one-stop customer services centre will also be created on the ground floor of the town hall extension.

From April, some 1,800 council staff will be moved to First Street, at the city centre's southern gateway, for four years while restoration work takes place. A temporary customer services point will open to the public there in early summer.

The Library Theatre Company will temporarily be based at Zion Arts, on Stretford Road, and stage regular performances at The Lowry.

Coun Mike Amesbury, Manchester's spokesman for culture and leisure, said: "We recognise that Manchester’s Central Library is one of the finest buildings in the city and one of the finest libraries in the country. This refurbishment and restoration is absolutely necessary to ensure that the Library can continue to be a jewel in Manchester’s crown."

Head of library services, Neil MacInnes, added: "When Central Library reopens, it will be a real world class facility that Manchester can rightly be proud of, completely in keeping with its history and heritage."
Members of Central Library can also use all other libraries in Manchester.

Timetable for Central Library closure:

Feb 25: Archives service closes.

Feb 27: Stack retrieval service for all departments ends. Language and Literature counter, and drop-in computers service, close – queries for the department will be answered by the Science and Humanities team. Main Central Issue Desk will also close, freeing staff to assist with packing and removal.

April 1: All other service points close, except ground floor General Readers' Library.

June 18: General Readers' Library closes.

Late June: Temporary city library opens in Elliot House.

July 4: Library Theatre closes.

They're going to go underground but will they ever come up again is my question. Possibly not suitable for public consumption. Might stir up the peasants. You know how they are.

Reminds me of a movie I saw where only the rich and powerful had access to the Arks while the other poor SOB's that continued working their dead end 9-5 jobs went extinct. Albeit in a blissful ignorance. Bummer.

you are idiots. I said nothing that was seditious, violent, or racist.

How does storing books away during reconstruction equal doomsday? C'mon people. I suppose you also beleive in the 2012 nonsense too?

Metatelo cabron! Pudi pandi mud ban chut!

This is do to the coming climate changes coming! All governments have deep underground bunkers and are quietly evacuating from coastal shores! Ocean levels are rising. This is do to this planetary object coming through our solar system called, Planet X, Planet 10, Wormwood, Nibru, etc. The governments and news media outlets are keeping this quiet. Millions upon millions of people above ground will perish. Better wake up and prepare and look for shelter on higher ground! That's what is really going on!

They're ginning up (for like 15 years now) WWIII...you know the nuclear one. It seems to be on schedule for sometime after (or perhaps on?) April Fools Day.

Citi bank has notified checking account customers that they "may" require 7 days notice for cash withdrawals after ...APRIL 1st. Bank run/financial/political collapse? Will that make the idiot in Georgia (or any of the other Zio-puppet idiots i.e. ObamaBiden) go all Col. Jack Ripper (from D. Strangelove) and launch a desperate attack?

Yep Something strange is going on

First the seeds Seed bank, now the important literature, what does that tell you folks? It tells me they are protecting the most important elements for survival and culture as they obviously are expecting something big to go down. Salt mines as opposed to a warehouse, that says it all.

your in a controlled reality change it, it can and will be done.

Reminds me of this TV movie from 1974: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Where_Have_All_The_People_Gone%3F

Rumple, thanks for that link, and I saved the link to the movie contained in the link you gave us. I am looking forward to watching it.

Remember, the powers that be always tell us what they intend to do to us through movies, tv programs and books. This maybe another one of those.

Anon, are you trying to say that maybe that 10th planet is what this is all about? Then why all this other stuff like chipping, etc, when they supposedly know that we will all be gone if that happens?

What they are doing now doesn't make any sense if that is the case, and yet, it doesn't make any sense to put them in salt caves either for simply building another library does it? Hard to know their thinking, but if your not a pervert, I suppose that is understandable. LOL

I though the same thing when I saw this item on a news channel. Absolutely every UK government forecast and agenda has an end date of 2012, or by 2013, or after 2011, which is the same thing. Something is going on, the entire monetary wealth of the planet has vanished, it hasn't moved from one economy to another, it has gone. Gone where? What was it spent on that isn't visible to all of us. Gary McKinnon discovered the truth, and look what has been done to shut him up. I have no idea if the doomsday prophecies are real or not, all I can see is what has been put into place, and that indicates one outcome. You can add to this the objective of Google to map every paving stone on the planet, the internet and things like Facebook and Photobucket to store electronic records of the everyday lives of the inhabitants, the various attempts to obtain DNA records of the entire human population, the massive increase in the number of excuses for security measures, and the general dumbing down of entire populations. Ask yourselves 'why'?

anon, there is nothing you have said that I can disagree with. Its well laid out and true. I had videos of the underground facilities here in the US and they are now gone. In fact, they do not want our side of history in their cadre of important information.

I bet the books are also selected based on bias. So its apparent who is going to be saved. The elite, military, and dumbed down clone workers to rebuild with only this time no rebels will be included.

Anon, I forgot to mention.....what will stop us once they go down from making sure they never come up? LOL

Theyre doing this because of Planet X which NASA announced they found in 1983 then lied about. Thats what theyre hiding with the chemtrails sprayed every day globally and its causing the earthquakes. Its also the sign in the heavens warning of Americas destruction by Russia, China and the SCO. News here: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/6519605/WarNews

Thanks for the link Anon, do you have one for the NASA announcement of planet x and why didn't that guy who is a whisteblower at Nasa write about that fact in his book?

your all doomsdayers, be strong. let the light in, survive for once.

Planet X and her moon are still in the news. They have been renamed. Planet X is now called Eris and her moon is Dysnomia.

Eris is the Goddess of Strife and her daughter Dysnomia, the Goddess of chaos and lawlessness. Conveniently named?

Anon, thanks again, you are a wealth of info, and I intend to pursue it. Thanks.

I wrote a book on surviving the lesser light http://www.authorhouse.com/Bookstore/ItemDetail.aspx?bookid=67957 people need to read it

High Priestess, please give us a synopsis of your book. I followed your link but was unclear what the point was. If you could simply recap in summary style, than I could make sense of what your saying.

I guess those of us that have not been dumbed down, understand something is going to take place, should we not start working together, get our own deep underground bunkers/cities going? I think time maybe short,so why are we not getting busy with resources?

As an archive conservator I see nothing ominous in this. It’s nothing new; the National Archives has been using this facility for several years.
Most library and archive holdings are organic – paper, parchment, papyrus; volumes bound in leather, vellum, velvet, bookcloth etc. The intrinsically valuable, historically interesting stuff has to be stored in optimum environmental conditions – and continuously monitored to forestall inevitable decay.

Conditions down the salt mine are close to ideal. The cool ambient temperature and low relative humidity and low light levels means they can be stored stably and cheaply. You don’t have to run expensive refrigeration units and dehumidifiers. They are not subject to mould and warping, rodent and insect damage, or the breakdown you get from continuous handling and usage.

With so many records being digitised now and made available online, this means you don’t have to keep producing the originals for researchers. ‘Salting them away’ preserves and extends their life greatly. And if the information technology of the future crashes and fails, you still have the originals on reserve for posterity.

But about the Svalbard Seed Bank, and the 1500 plus deep underground military bases/cities around the globe, now THAT tells a story…..

Thats is strange considering the Vatican has just closed it library and is storing books away for a few years until refurbishment is complete!!!!!

Yes, just tap into this pdf and read how the governments have this all written up very nicely thank you.....

Svalbard Global Seed Vault, also called Norwegian Seed Bank and Svalbard ..... Another design solution for Tier 2 facilities is the underground tunnel ... modern cities. Cities around the world have plenty of volume tunneled out ...

Has anybody heard if the Smithsonian or some of the Jewish-American or Israeli collections are getting this treatment as well? Other countries such as Russia or Iran? If they're expecting the big one, all that knowledge needs to be saved. If they don't trust technology, why should we?
