The recent 15th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade towers was a reminder of the terrible consequences when a nation ignores the lessons of history—including its own recent history. The U.S. military budget is a tragic example.

We currently spend roughly $598 billion on defense, which is more than the next seven biggest military spenders combined: China, Saudi Arabia, Russia, the United Kingdom, India, France, and Japan. This represents 54 percent of federal discretionary spending. In return, we get an ability to rapidly deploy conventional military power anywhere in the world.

The 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center was the most devastating foreign-sourced attack on the United States since the War of 1812. It was carried out by a largely self-organized band of 19 religious fanatics of varied nationalities, affiliated with a small, dispersed, and loosely organized international network. We responded by invading and occupying Afghanistan and Iraq. This led to hundreds of thousands of pointless deaths, destabilization of the Middle East, and a cost to the U.S. Treasury of some $4 trillion to $6 trillion.

I view all this in part through the lens of my experience as an Air Force captain during the Vietnam War. I briefed pilots headed for Vietnam on the psychological consequences of bombing civilian populations. I later served in the Defense Department’s office overseeing defense-related behavioral and social science research.

The U.S. government has shipped over 1.4 million guns to Iraq and Afghanistan since 9/11, according a new analysis by the U.K.-based watchdog Action on Armed Violence (AOAV), but the Pentagon is only able to account for fewer than half of them.

AOAV released its analysis of publicly available data on U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) contracts on Wednesday, and added that when requested to provide its own accounting for the small arms provided to the war-torn nations, "the DoD data shows that over 700,000 small arms were sent from the U.S. to Iraq and Afghanistan within these periods. However, this amount only accounts for 48 percent of the total small arms supplied by the U.S. government that can be found in open source government reports."

NEW YORK, Aug 19 (Reuters) - The United States Army's finances are so jumbled it had to make trillions of dollars of improper accounting adjustments to create an illusion that its books are balanced.

The Defense Department's Inspector General, in a June report, said the Army made $2.8 trillion in wrongful adjustments to accounting entries in one quarter alone in 2015, and $6.5 trillion for the year. Yet the Army lacked receipts and invoices to support those numbers or simply made them up.

As a result, the Army's financial statements for 2015 were "materially misstated," the report concluded. The "forced" adjustments rendered the statements useless because "DoD and Army managers could not rely on the data in their accounting systems when making management and resource decisions."

Hardly a day goes by without news of a police killing.  And each time we hear from scholars and observers that the police is too militarized.   No doubt!

In 2014, I was flattered to have been approached by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Shasta Chapter to be their keynote speaker to address Government Secrecy, Drones, and Militarization.  After each police involved death, I would revisit my notes and wonder why I never published them.   After watching this video clip on my FB page on July 10, 2016, I decided to share an excerpt from the ACLU address of April 13, 2014.

(Of note, at the time of the talk, “Black Lives Matter” had not appeared on the national stage, nor had the training of police in Israel been fully exposed; as such, these very important factors were not included in the talk/excerpt below.  The following is simply talking points stringed together and lacks the flow and flare of academic writing.)

Historians and political scientists have warned us about  dangerous war fever sweeping the United States. Today we have gone beyond that.

The “Global War on Terror”, a war indefinite in duration, against an ill-defined and shifting enemy, al-Qaeda, [ISIS did not exist in the official narrative at the time] is now being armed in Syria [“moderates”] without a clear explanation of American strategy or a specific definition of victory, or even a way to measure progress in the struggle has taken its toll on civil liberty.  The problem of militarization poses a danger to the very character of American government and society.

In his first public interview after retiring from active duty in 2003, General Tommy Franks identified the single most dangerous possibility offered by an endless war on terrorism: An attack with weapons of mass destruction “just to create casualties … to terrify” could lead “the western world, the free world” to forfeit its “freedom and liberty,” to lose its democracy, and “begin to militarize our country in order to avoid a repeat of another mass-casualty event, … to potentially unravel the fabric of our Constitution.”

Over half a century ago,  Supreme Court Justice Robert Jackson concluded that  “by giving way to the passion, intolerance and suspicions of wartime, it is easy to reduce our liberties to a shadow, often in answer to exaggerated claims of security.”.

That day is here.  Not only are we under constant surveillance, but  take for example the kill list.  A list which began under the Bush administration as a rationale for murdering suspect citizens of countries with which the United States was not at war has become Obama’s kill list and the scope of the list has been expanded to include the execution, without due process of law, of U.S. citizens accused, without evidence presented in court, of association with terrorism. And this is accepted by the people. No protests.

The Framers of the Constitution recognized such dangers when they carefully subordinated the military to civilian authority and attempted to limit the power of the President to initiate war.

Gregory Foster, a former Army officer and West Point graduate who now teaches national security studies at the National Defense University in Washington said that principle of civilian control of the military—an early building block of American democracy-  has become the  civilian subjugation to the military.

Today, the degree to which  society’s institutions, policies, behavior, thought, and values are devoted to military power and shaped by war are alarming.

The incursion of military recruiters and teachings into the public school system is well known.  Presidents favor speaking to captive audiences at military bases, defense bases, and on aircraft carriers.  Lawmakers’ constant use of “support our troops” to justify defense spending.   TV programs and video games like “NCIS,” “Homeland” and “Call of Duty,” to reality show “Stars Earn Stripes,” demonstrate that Americans are subjected to a daily diet of stories that valorize the military while the storytellers pursue their own opportunistic political and commercial agendas

Former secretary of defense Donald Rumsfeld acknowledged publicly in an October 24, 2003, interview in the Washington Times: “We are in a war of ideas, as well as a global war on terror. Ideas are important, and they need to be marshaled, and they need to be communicated in ways that are persuasive to the listeners.”

This was part of his Information Operations Roadmap.   As part of the plan,  public affairs officers were given the task of briefing journalists.  In 2005 it came to light that the Pentagon paid the Lincoln Group (a private company) to plant ‘hundreds of stories’ in Iraqi papers in support of U.S. Policies

But now, we see that this war has been internalized, whether you look at drones, kill list, or militarization of the police force.

During the Clinton administration, Congress passed what’s now known as the “1033 Program,” which formalized  Reagan administration’s directive to the Pentagon to share surplus military gear with domestic police agencies. Since then, millions of pieces of military equipment designed for use on a battlefield have been transferred to local cops—SWAT teams and others—including machine guns, tanks, armored personnel carriers, etc.

The Pentagon’s 1033 program has exploded under Obama.

Bill Clinton also created the “Troops to Cops” program which offered grants to police departments who hired soldiers returning from battle, contributing even further to the militarization of the police force.

In a 2005 PBS documentary, David Grossman, a retired US Army Lt. Colonel spoke of training law enforcement groups worldwise to kill: “most of what I do is I train military and law enforcement in what I call the bulletproof mind.” “Prior preparation is that one variable in the equation that we can control ahead of time, and one of the key things is embracing the responsibility to kill.  So when I teach, one of the things I believe we need to do is embrace this word “kill.””

Is it any wonder that [Mayor] Bloomberg proudly bragged of “hav(ing) my own army in the NYPD” and who used that army to spy on peaceful Occupy Wall Street protestors?

And what of “to protect and to serve”?

Vanishing Bio-Weapons Lab in Georgia Republic – 2016 Update

Vatic Note:  Several points I wish to make on this blog.   First, remember when Georgia and Russia went at it several years ago?  Israel sent 3 billion dollars to Georgia, and some Israeli troops, whose dead bodies were found and identified.  Bush Jr also did the same and got caught at it, which then made the American people raise holy hell with him for doing an unjustified  attack on our behalf when we had no reason for siding with anyone on this fiasco.

The second thing I remember is Israel is one of the more advanced bio-weapons research nations on the planet along with their chemical weapons program.   Add that to our own CDC creating viruses and bioweapons that we do not need and in which they lied to us about.   I specifically remember the swineflu virus combined with the avian virus and it was done by our CDC.  No one was jailed for that little ditty and they tried to make a bioweapons alert out of it, trying to say we were going to have a pandemic.  Well, they got caught and dropped the issue.  It never happened.

So, is this a way of taking control and consolidating all of that between the USA and Israel???  Does Great Britain Khazar royal family have anything to do with this???  Just asking.    You read and decide.

Meet the nano-spiders: The DNA robots that could one day be walking through your body

Vatic Note:   As  I was reading this I was contemplating the massive movement in technology advancement with changing the human being from its current makeup to something we may not recognize down the line and what would be the implications of that should those without conscience or humanity still be in charge?  What kind of asset would they be recreating.   


Yesterday we did an article on creating a human brain, where everything about the brain was being considered yet no word at all about a "conscience" or "limitations" on behavior, life span etc, nor about wisdom and other uniquely human attributes that do not reside in other animals, and are specific to us in the consciousness arena.   


This simply adds to it, since our DNA seems to be of deep importance to these people based on DNA lists being collected everywhere,  manipulation of the DNA and mutations made of the DNA.   Remember, DNA is a full blown language with a 25,000 character alphabet.   Who is talking to us through that DNA?   Is that the reason for the assault on it currently?  


Who knows what could be done with this kind of technology and without ethics, restrictions and controls, this could get seriously out of hand.  I can't believe we are doing this without a global discussion on whether it should be done,  much less under what conditions it can be done. But then we haven't had a say in anything for about 10 years now.  I have a suspicion we are getting close to having that discussion whether the powers that be like it or not.  Civil liberties sometimes have to be asserted in whatever manner is effective.

Scientists have created microscopic robots out of DNA molecules that can walk, turn and even create tiny products of their own on a nano-scale assembly line.


The ground-breaking devices outlined in the journal Nature, could one day lead to armies of surgeon robots that could clean human arteries or build computer components.

In one of the projects a team from New York's Columbia University created a spider bot just four nanometres across. This is about 100,000 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair.

Robots of the future could operate at the nano-scale level, cleaning arteries or building computer components


The nano-spider moves along a track comprising stitched-together strands of DNA that is essentially a pre-programmed course.


The track exploits DNA's double-helix molecule - a structure of four chemicals that are paired in rungs.

Vatic Note: I finished this one time and they completely without any warning totally wiped out all the work I had done.  They didn't tell me why they did it, no warning, and my experience with them is they will only do that with a FISA court warrant. So maybe some part of this hit home. A coincidence that this "secret space warplane" with a secret weapons testing mission happens days before all the dead birds and fish in the oceans and on land.  Was this a test run of a new secret weapon in space?.  Is this the plan for depopulation?   Are they going to use their aircraft carrier sized space vehicle to deliver the blow?   Is the Iron Mountain report of 1966 recommending ecodisasters and destruction as the mode for globalizing?   They did the same thing with the oil blow out rig in the gulf in testing the weapon.   We had video of the two beams used and later the video was gutted and replaced with a photo shop making it look like a camera anomoly.    In seeing other photos of the same supposed "blow out" on another rig in Australia, that was not even close to what happened on this one. Is this what the oil tragedy was covering up? Who knows until more information can come out. Below this article is also information on SOHO being down for 3 days which is weird, with no explanation and a link from an email I received showing a massive distortion in the suns magnetic field with the distortion facing our planet. AT the same time we are sending this secret launch??? Something is up. I also included another segment on advanced space weaponry and what it could mean for our future, if we end up having one. Use of psychiatric medications among people ages 18 to 34 — mostly active-duty troops and their spouses — is rising at a significantly higher rate than other age groups in the military health care system, according to data newly released to Military Times.


Overall, the number of prescriptions filled for psychiatric medications rose 42 percent from 2005 to 2009 among Tricare beneficiaries in that age group, according to data provided by Tricare Management Activity in response to a Freedom of Information Act request.

That compares to an increase of 24 percent among Tricare beneficiaries ages 45 to 64, mostly retirees. For children 17 and younger, the increase was 18 percent.

All the increases outpace overall growth in the Tricare population over the same period.

Many citizens in Britain are puzzled. Why do we always seem to be at war? How can this come about? What does it mean? At the same time, we seem to think of ourselves as a peaceful nation. In seeking answers, let us list a few notable characteristics of our current wars.

•  Our wars are fought by of our young men; those who enlist. The rest of us (including most of our young men) are essentially out of it - not affected - not involved - focused elsewhere.
• Most of the young men in the armed forces are from relatively poor families and have not benefited from higher education.
• The people who are killed from our side in our wars are these same young men from poor families. They have no political clout. The rest of us are at no physical risk.
• The great majority of the people who are killed in our wars are foreign civilians in poor countries. These people are of a different culture from ours. We know little or nothing about them.
• A high proportion of the foreign civilians killed in our wars are women and children. Of course, we do not experience this as though it was our own women and children who are being killed.
• The people who start the wars and direct them are middle aged and elderly politicians and senior army officers.
• The politicians and generals who start and conduct our wars are not at risk of death or physical injury; nor, generally speaking, are their offspring or other relatives.
• Our current wars are being fought in very distant lands and we citizens who pay for them know almost nothing of the vast suffering that they inflict on these far-off people.
• Our wars are fought by a rich country fielding well-armed forces with high-tech equipment against badly-equipped poor countries, the citizens of which resort to home-made bombs (improvised explosive devices or IEDs).
• After starting our wars, politicians who shared the responsibility and who subsequently appear at enquiries may speak out and contend that at the time they had doubts about the legality/wisdom/necessity/effectiveness of going to war. Similarly, the generals, after they retire, may speak out and say that at the time they had doubts about the legality/wisdom/necessity/effectiveness of going to war.
• Wars generate huge profits for individuals and corporations. The people who reap the profits are not the same people who risk their lives and lose their limbs in fighting the wars. The overall organization of those who make the profits is known as the military/industrial complex.
• There has been a cosy relationship between the military/industrial complex and the government; for example government officials may move into senior positions in arms manufacturing firms and vice versa.
• Our government encourages the flourishing of the military/industrial complex by awarding it invaluable assistance and privileges. For example, there is a unit of 180 individuals employed within the Department of Trade and Investment whose sole work involves selling the output of British arms manufacturers to foreign governments. The salaries of these individuals are not paid by the arms manufacturers but by us citizens, the taxpayers.
• As befits a profit-focused capitalist economy, war is gradually becoming privatized. In the past, young men were dragooned into war by conscription. At present, many are presented with life choices such that the armed forces appear the best option. We are moving towards a future where making war is merely one of the services offered by the corporate sector. Consequently, the term 'mercenaries' is being superseded by 'private militaries' and 'security companies'.
• Another accelerating 'improvement' is the replacement of combatants on the battlefield with robots. In the case of the drones destroying villages in Western Pakistan, the 'combatants' can be seven thousand miles away; well out of harms way. Not so, of course, the aforementioned civilian women and children. They are more at risk than ever.
• Politicians justify their wars by claiming (often not overtly) that it gives us (them) prestige, gets our (their) feet under the top table, makes us (them) a powerful player on the world stage. 

So does this short list give any clues as to why we always seem to be at war? It does seem to hint at how our physical and psychological distance from the carnage helps to sustain our self-belief as a peaceful people.

The final point raises another noteworthy question. How do they (the establishment) get away with it?

Here are a few suggestions.

• Fear - The twentieth century's most successful master of propaganda declared, "Naturally the common people don't want war. But....the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." These are the words, at the Nuremberg Trials, of Hitler's senior henchman Herman Goering.
• Lies - Indispensable from time immemorial. "Our armies do not come into your cities and lands as conquerors or enemies, but as liberators." So said General F.S. Maude, commander of British forces in Iraq - in 1917. Blair told the British people and parliament that Hussein had weapons of mass destruction that could be deployed in 45 minutes.
• No accountability - Also in operation from time immemorial. Rudyard Kipling wrote in 'Epitaphs of War,' "Now all my lies are proved untrue, and I must face the men I slew, what tales shall serve me here among, mine angry and defrauded young." Kipling was mistaken. There is actually no need to worry. The worst than can happen is the Chilcot enquiry.
• Obfuscation - Weird language will prevent 'the little people' (to use a BP executive phrase) from knowing what is going on. Thus, those who fight back when we invade another country are 'insurgents.' When the 'Coalition of the Willing' wants to kidnap citizens and deport them to be tortured in distant dungeons, the practice becomes 'extraordinary rendition'. When the establishment wants to bypass the Freedom of Information Act, requested documents are 'redacted'. Military speak for wiping out military targets is 'counterforce'; for wiping out cities with nuclear bombs is 'countervalue.' However, whether you are killed by 'countervalue' or a genocidal atrocity, you are just as dead.
• Change the focus - We are in Afghanistan to find Osama-Bin-Laden and defeat Al Qaeda - No, sorry; to defeat the Taliban; - No, wait; to win hearts and minds - No; to establish democracy - No, to protect the women of Afghanistan - No; to hand over to the legitimate government. Well, it is partly legitimate anyway. The establishment wants to keep Trident renewal. So keep it out of the defense review and assess it by some separate criterion, never mind how absurd. Let's say 'value for money.' It has been estimated that the millions of people who can be killed by Trident submarines work out at about 3,600 pounds per dead person. Is this value for money? Are there cheaper ways of killing people on a genocidal scale?

These are some of the means they use to get away with it. But Herman Goering was right. The people do not want war. And the good news is they (the establishment) may not get away with it for much longer. 90 thousand leaked documents is more than just a dramatic coup. Their publication presages vast new power in the hands of 'the little people,' or (more correctly) the citizens.

The Central Intelligence Agency's private security contractors, mercenaries such as Blackwater USA (Xe) for the U.S. “locate and assassinate” Americans program in existence according to government officials and reported  by Stephen Crowley in The New York Times received a little more media coverage this week thanks to Chuck Norris and Paul Craig Roberts. Still hidden, however, is that the program has been operational on U.S. soil against innocent Americans and is intensifying. It is not a matter of "if" or "when" the program advances to include dissidents and other innocent Targeted Individuals.

A Targeted Individual is a person targeted "by extreme forms of harassment such as ... Cointelpro... The target is specifically singled out for deliberate psychological, social, targeting which has the ability to destroy their lives and livelihoods over time." (Targeted Individuals: Frequently Asked Questions)

Private Investigator Bill Taylor who has investigated 300 to 400 Targeted Individual cases stated last week that these targets are "the greatest" Americans. (See: Dupre, D. Cointelpro, that shocked the nation after the Church Committee investigation, never ended according to former FBI agent, M. Wesley Swearingen.  The new Cointelpro operates globally under a different code name, more sophisticated, with access to modern weapons. During a recent interview with Taylor, he stated that there needs to be greater public awareness of the Phoenix Program. (See: Dupre, D. Vatic Note: As you know Vatic put up another excellent piece by Dr. Tru Ott, who provided great technical info along with a convincing video showing 2 blue laser beams hitting the rig as it was burning. He made an excellent case for just such event occurring. Remember, we at Vatic posted that video first sometime back early on in one of our updates (I think it was may 2, but it could be a bit later) along with one that the military spokesperson had said BP was their "partner" and had to admit she used bad phrasing, although probably true.

Now, after this went up and the video had been out there for over a month showing the beams coming down onto the rig, the video was then suddenly pulled after vatic had posted and distributed the Dr. Ott write up & video on the blog. Next we find those on the boat being interveiwed by the MSM owned by the same Goldman Sucks that owns BP & the toxic disbursement company that is poisoning the gulf, and still no video put back up. However it was ok, since our site still had the still picture of the fire where the video was.

Yesterday after a week of that picture being up with NO ANOMOLIES WHATSOEVER in the picture, we see that NOW it has a camera artifact anomoly, Photoshopped???? It doesn't matter what anyone thinks at this point,  we visit the site to input articles many times a day, so WE KNOW WHAT WAS THERE. It then confirmed for us that we had hit on something real. This, by their behavior, confirmed what we had deduced about how the rig was destroyed, based on the  evidence that they PULLED & locked down completely. Who knows what it will look like if and when we ever get it back.

Salbuchi's approach, which was valid and smart, was to focus on the hole in the platform that he shows on this video, that if you look carefully, DID NOT HAVE A BLOWOUT FROM BELOW AS IT SHOULD HAVE IF IT WERE THE ACCIDENT WE HAD BEEN TOLD, RATHER THE RIDGES OF THE HOLE ITSELF WERE PUSHED "DOWNWARD" INTO THE PLATFORM. So how did that happen? What kind of weapon would do that from above downward, and leave such a clean bright shiney ridge around the hole??? Notice also its appears to be not one beam but the result of two beams based on its shape and that was what we saw in the Ott video were two beams about that distance apart. We believe the PTB's actions by pulling the video, convicted them of their own crime. Its the behavior of guilty parties to cover up the evidence as they are doing in other areas of the gulf.

Scroll over to 8:57 and listen and watch to what he says about the possibility of a laser attack on the oil rig. He says it very well and makes an excellent point on the damage to the platform. Listen to it carefully, that now makes two well respected international figures who give credence to this possibility and liklihood that this in fact was a false flag event. He also points out the coincidence of the top secret military mission to space at the same time and also points out the coincidence of Hitlers birthday on the same day the rig went down. Also remember the trades by the owners of BP and the CEO where they made tons of money in profit taking from insider knowledge of what was coming. This is clearly criminal.
