FBI Director is clearly motivated to retain his job after Clinton is elected than he is in performing his sworn duties as an FBI Director. Copper hit a record price of 10,000 USD per ton on Thursday on the back of growing worldwide economic optimism and concerns about the impact of an Australian cyclone on stretched global supplies.

In trade on the London Metal Exchange, copper for delivery in three months' time hit exactly 10,000 per ton, before pulling back to stand at 9,941.

“Copper prices continue to soar, reaching another milestone this morning of 10,000 a ton,” said Ian O'Sullivan, an analyst at traders Spread Co. in London.

Devin Wenig, CEO of Thomson Reuters’ Markets division, was in a breakfast meeting of senior executives at the hotel when the explosion happened.

Reports are emerging that Internet has gone down in Cairo and throughout Egypt, only hours before the largest planned protests yet.
According to a report from The Arabist, "Egypt has shut off the internet."

Multiple Internet Service Providers are affected according to the report, which states:

I just received a call from a friend in Cairo (I won't say who it is now because he's a prominent activist) telling me neither his DSL nor his USB internet service is working. I've just checked with two other friends in different parts of Cairo and their internet is not working either.

Vatic Note:  Looks like riots are continuing in Greece,  here is an update of the latest one, which was much more of a battle, since the demonstrators learned from the last one to come better prepared to match the violence of the police, and they did.    Well, if you watch the video all the way through you will see that things are not going so well in elite land. This demonstration along with the one in Italy is beginning to show the anger the people are experiencing and how very willing they are to stand no matter what and its turning very violent in response to the police brutality the people had suffered in previous demonstrations, this time they were ready to fight back. You can see the shift as each one gets worse on the part of the people and the cops were actually cowering through most of it since the people were using gas filled bottles and setting them on fire and throwing them into the middle of the police line up. I do believe something is going to break. No World war because I don't think anyone anywhere is willing to fight in it given what we now know about who and what. Keep the faith. We can see from this that all is not lost. If united we can overcome and maybe change the outcome. Time will tell.

SAO PAULO -- Ruling-party candidate Dilma Rousseff, who is trying to become Brazil's first female leader, fell short of getting a majority of votes in presidential elections and now faces a runoff in four weeks against an experienced, centrist rival.

Rousseff - popular President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's hand-chosen successor - outpaced rival Jose Serra 46.9 percent to 32.6 percent in Sunday's vote, but didn't get the 50 percent she needed to win outright. Analysts were split on whether there was enough campaign time left for the underdog opposition candidate to close the gap.

Much depends on the other female candidate, the Green Party's Marina Silva, who won a surprising 19.4 percent of the vote. She said her party's leadership would decide whether to throw their support behind Rousseff or Serra, though she emphasized it was up to individual voters to make their own choices.

Rousseff, a former Marxist militant who was imprisoned for three years and tortured under Brazil's military dictatorship, long ago left behind her rebel background and has made a career as a pragmatic bureaucrat, most recently serving as President Silva's chief of staff.

Top news: Ecuador's Rafael Correa says there will be "no pardon"  for those involved in the unrest in Quito yesterday during which he was assaulted and briefly held hostage  by protesting police officers. The trouble began after security forces took over barracks in several cities to protest a new law that would reduce their benefits and slow salary increases.

Correa went to the barracks in Quito to personally confront the officers where a shouting match ensued and the president was shoved, pelted with water and tear gassed. Correa sought refuge at a nearby police hospital where he was surrounded by protesting officers. Speaking to the news media by telephone, he called the protests an “an attempt at a coup d’état.” Correa was rescued after troops stormed the hospital.
