Someone tell me how Obama or the Congress auditing the Fed will lead to anything -- Remember the 9-11 Commission, the Warren Commission, the special prosecutors' handling of Whitewater etc.
Who thinks that this government is capable of removing corruption from any segment of the current system when all segments are controlled by the same organized crime.
Once upon a time the Populists got a law, the Interstate Commerce Commission, past to curb the railroad monopoly -- but in only one year the law was watered down to nothing by the Supreme Court.
According to what accounting practices will the Fed be audited, since the Fed has never been audited before and since the law states that the Fed will be independent of the government?
The only way an audit could lead to political action would be if the Rothschild-Rockefeller interests already had a new system to replace the Fed with and needed the "audit" to motivate the "reform." Ron Paul and the call for an audit, I suspect, are pure window-dressing to make it look like the new monster waiting in the wings is something we insisted upon following this "audit."
Populist change comes about when criminals are displaced by people willing to take on a lot of personal grief to save everybody else.

Vatic Note: While I considered this a good article and commentary, I did not include the one he references at the end of his article. The reason is all blame was passed on in a "partisan" fashion to one party which is blatantly irresponsible. The same Gov dept that was staffed under Cheney, was kept by Obama similar to the Sec of defence and all officers under Bush, so some responsibility resides with the Commander in Chief and as Truman said "The Buck Stops Here". Obama and his people knew what was going on in the White House during all that time and the raping and pillaging the oil companies and energy companies did to the public during that time. No changes were ever made so blame belongs in both places. Now its imperative it gets stopped and cleaned up. Whatever happened to the executive order Obama was to sign banning all offshore fishing both commercial and sports in favor of imports from asia on our fish???? That is something no one talks about, now do they, except Vatic did right after the blow out and about the executive order as well.
SOLUTION: This is one of those times that we must face the fact that we, united, cannot fix this problem in the traditional way except through straw to mop up the oil, however it doesn't help with the continued flow of oil from the giant hole that exists. So its time to go back and revisit our strategy #1 and begin imaging the hole plugged and waters clean and fish returning. Its something we each can do and do together even though we are apart. So please read it again and lets give that a real serious shot. I firmly believe that praying, or imaging or whatever your preference will work to help make this heal. Such prayers or imaging can aid those who are serious about fixing it, can provide them with the creative ideas they need to do this job. So lets all pitch in and prosecute later.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - In secret meetings with the oil company officials in 2001, incoming Vice President Cheney set the foundation for a permissive, welcome mat with the oil industry.
After stocking the Federal government’s Material Management Service with his cronies, this agency reversed an earlier 2000 decision requiring a mandatory accusatorial regulator, allowing BP and others not to install a $500,000 acoustic switch to automatically shut down oil gushers.
For BP, this had to be a dumb business decision. BP’s $650 million dollar well may have been saved by a half million investment in an acoustic switch (VN: Not to worry, I am sure one of the BP investors, Goldman Sachs will share some of the billions they made shorting the owner company of the rig, since the 650 million is just a drop in the bucket compared to what they made with their "psychic" vision of the future). For the country and those living and working in the Gulf region, the final tab may very well be in the billions.
Cheney’s Halliburton is connected to the April 20th explosion. The investigation of the cause of the blowup is not completed. As it turned out, Halliburton completed an operation to reinforce the drilling hole casing with concrete before the explosion. Halliburton is currently under investigation for a blowout in the Timor Sea caused by a faulty concrete casing (VN: They should be under investigation for the coincidence of buying an oil rig fire fighting company on the 12th of April just before the blow out).
The Material Management Service reported that 18 of 39 blowouts in the Gulf of Mexico were due to poor workmanship in injecting the cement around the well casing. Was Cheney’s Halliburton responsible for the April 20th blowout? Stay tuned. In the end, responsibility for the explosion and the extensive damages from it may well be decided by a jury.
On April 20th, BP’s Deepwater Horizon oil rig went up in flames some 50 miles southeast of Louisiana, killing 11 men. It’s May 14th and BP hasn’t capped the gusher, vehemently denies concern over measuring the spill; its only interest is in capping the gusher.
The company appears content with the ‘low ball’ 5,000 barrel/day number prepared by our government. I guess it wouldn’t be good PR to admit to a 70,000 barrel/day gusher, even one at 5,000 feet deep in the Gulf.
If this engineering estimate prepared by Purdue University is on target, that’s a lot of oil dumped into the Gulf of Mexico. At 42 gallons per barrel, the Purdue estimate equates to about 3 million gallons per day.
For a company that claims its focus is on plugging the leak, none of their efforts have been even marginally successful. The 100 ton doom didn’t work nor did the smaller ‘top hat.’
Other efforts are underway. No back, ugly oil stains on the beaches, but with the gusher at such great depths and the high volume of dispersants, there's much to be concerned about.
Will we ever be able to eat Louisiana shrimp again?
Even if BP doesn’t want to measure the gusher, don’t we need to estimate the “total oil spill” to begin to understand the environmental impact? Congressman Edward Markey thinks so.
Congressman Edward Markey (D, MA), who chairs a Congressional subcommittee on energy and the environment, a miscalculation of the oil spill’s volume may hamper efforts to stop it.
Markey said, “I am concerned that an underestimation of the oil spill’s flow may be impeding the ability to solve the leak and handle the management of the disaster,” he said in a statement Thursday.
“If you don’t understand the scope of the problem, the capacity to find the answer is severely compromised.” (VN: Hear that? Think about that a moment, if we don't understand the scope of the problem, then any solution is compromised, now you know why we do this blog, since we believe the same way about all of it, not just the oil blow out)
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., analysis in the Huffington Post on May 5th, “Sex, Lies and Oil Spills, provides valuable insight into the shenanigans between Material Management Service officials and big oil.
The sad part is that this is not fiction, even though some of this makes “Peyton Place” look like a kindergarten at play in comparison. Kennedy’s story is reproduced below.

Vatic Note: How NY goes, so goes the nation, so hopefully NYers will be screaming bloody murder over this. I was not surprised that the Brits put up with this because they are so polite, but not NYers, since that is the last vestige of privacy we had left, if that goes up in NY, there will be no privacy and they can even spy in your house using those cameras that are remote controlled. Sorry, but that should not be acceptable. I guess we are becoming a survellience society, but then don't owners like to keep an eye on their cattle??? One might get away. Authors Note: The current intensifying crisis at the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) has received almost no coverage in the US media, despite the fact that this is a major 11-campus institution of higher education with close to 65,000 students, making it the largest university in the Caribbean. The students are on strike, the university closed, 250 riot police have been called in and the issues involve severe budget cuts and the fear of the government's plans to privatize this 107-year old public university system.
Stateside, a number of Puerto Rican organizations, such as the Puerto Rican Studies Association (PRSA), have publicly supported the students. Making babies naturally; a dying art?
Vatic Note: My goodness..... lol, After the two articles we published on here about making a human brain and the DNA nano robots, I am beginning to believe the elite hate being human and thus are offended by the masses of humanity and wish to replace them. Amazing. I wouldn't trust anything they invented, controlled, inserted, manufactured or otherwise ask us to use without a thorough reverse engineering done only by someone I trusted and with proper credentials. I think naturally is the only truly safe way to go. Remember, we have had articles up here that talk about the effects of legal drugs, GMO's, and our drinking water, on our fertility and how our reproduction and life span is dropping rapidly similar to the real Israeli's in Israel who are simultaneously and COINCIDENTIALLY having the same problem. We published a paper on that as well, and within a very short time period, genocide would be done to both races by the Khazars. Lets not let that happen. Notice they are talking about also artificially creating the meat and food we eat which means messing with the products DNA and thus messing with OUR DNA, which if done by psychos as we saw with the vaccines, could rapidly advance the depopulation programs they have. 6.8 million people are a lot to kill off at one time, so it would have to be done through several methods and this could be one of them. Remember once trust is lost, its lost for good until earned back again over time, thus I suspect any messing with that which sustains our very lives and bodies. Its not enough just to live, we must be able to have a "life" as well.
Solution: Lets get back to basics and start by loving ourselves, then loving those who we are mated to and finally loving making our children from that mate whom we love as much as we love ourselves and if we do that, then they will lose billions like they did on the tainted vaccine and give all this up. Maybe. But its a start to rethinking all our relationships that they have perverted both in our schools in what they are teaching our children and in our TV watching through subliminal messaging and ads that frankly shocked me with some of their cruelty and inhumanity, so its time to turn off that damn TV and read, spend time with our significant other, friends, family, and co-workers and getting to know each other and making a commitment to eat natural foods, (NO GMO) make babies naturally, and drink living water. Its up to us to avoid these obstacles they put in our path to achieving a healthy full life, so lets not cooperate with it. REMEMBER, UNITED, WE ARE POWERFUL.
Buy up heritage seeds and animal stock from reputed farmers willing to sell them for our future and breed them ourselves and do so NOW before we cannot tell which is which and do so in serious bulk (MAYBE FORM COOPS to cut expenses) and begin growing your own food, its the only way. Or support and push for your local reps to build grow domes in your town or neighborhood and stock up on those seeds and POTATO SEEDLINGS which are critical for that very nutritious food. Make sure plenty of healthy soil is available and find ways to purge it of all the chemtrails and chemicals that are pumped out on our soil daily. I write this and wonder how we have not taken these cretins down yet??? LOL But you get the idea and a good serious healthy water filter to take out all chemicals and alien artifacts from your water.

Thirtysomethings could routinely conceive babies using IVF within a decade because it will have become better than sex as a means of reproduction, scientists have predicted.
Solution: Lets get back to basics and start by loving ourselves, then loving those who we are mated to and finally loving making our children from that mate whom we love as much as we love ourselves and if we do that, then they will lose billions like they did on the tainted vaccine and give all this up. Maybe. Vatic Note: I won't spend any time on the crimes against humanity currently underway since we all know about it now and have had the opportunity to express our outrage to our congress people like we should have done at other times in history and said we "didn't know about it" at the time. We can't say that anymore, but maybe its an issue of not knowing what to do about it. So, I will go right into Solutions.
SOLUTION: Everyone who reads this blog, please call the Israeli Embassy near you. If you are overseas then you will have to find the nearest embassy and call them If in the states, I have a number which I will include here.....and email address......and express exactly how you feel without insulting or attacking the person on the phone, and the more of us that call, the bigger the pressure and warn them if they kill a single aid worker, then the consequenses are that they will be alone in their fight against the rest of the world including us. Tell them we know they want to do to us what they are doing to the pals and we will be watching closely how they handle a LEGALLY SEAWORTHY "UNARMED" VESSEL ENTERING GAZA. Explain their continued thumb nosing of international law regarding the treatment of unarmed civilians and aid workers will come back to haunt them as justice always does. They need to show some humanity if they possibly can. But let them know they are quickly losing the support of Americans, including the people if they continue down this path.

No more borrowing, no credit etc. Save and pay cash for everything. There are many other options that we as a group could dream up without interference, like bartering.
6. Talk with local businesses about contingencies for when the bankers/intel elite decide to crash the system.

Take your skills and experience and begin thinking about starting a business relying on those skills and experience and build part time while working, a client base and employment, OVERCOME YOUR FEAR SINCE THE ALTERNATIVE IS MUCH MORE FEARFUL, and do the options open to you. Once you build the business to a level of full time employment then you can quit that job with deductions and refuse to pay into the system in any manner. If all of us do this they have a problem.
8. Begin talking to families, spouses, parents, friends of men in law enforcement and the military and tell them we are all standing together therefore we need their cooperation in allowing us to resist this without violence, tell them they must STAND DOWN if and when this comes to a head. The sheer numbers we have, if the military stands down, will overcome and force those doing this to leave the country. ITS GOING TO TAKE COURAGE IN ALL OF THIS SO START DIGGING DEEP DOWN WITHIN YOU AND BEGIN TO FIND THAT WHICH WE KNOW WE HAVE.

Proposal Would Delay Hearings in Terror Cases
Vatic Note: If anyone has been following the ACLU, I don't believe, in reality, that Anthony Romero opposes anything Obama does, lip service only. I believe for the left, that plants have been inserted into these organizations, just like the NRA on the right. They have been taken over and coopted. Everytime you see the phrase "Obama is considering asking Congress", Just change it to "Obama and congress have been TOLD to do this" by their owners the international bankers and Israel (Joe Lieberscum, PHD in Treason). This issue is just another "frog in the slow heating pot of water" and we are not suppose to notice and as CLG, Lori Price so appropriately put it "It's the Obusha 'Friday Night Extra-constitutional Bad News Dump' -- so big, the dumping actually crossed into Saturday morning!" She does have a good sense of the sublime, doesn't she? What this is indicatiing is that our Bill of Rights has almost been completely gutted and all that is left is the first amendment and the second amendment, that was passed by our founding fathers to protect that first Amendment, so watch for that as it will be a signal that we have to get off our duffs and begin the process of claiming back our civil liberties and protections from just such tyrants as we see occupying our Government. I have to say, I had hoped Obama would not show the same inhumane soul as his predecessor, but I should have guessed otherwise when he selected the mossad agent as his chief of staff, Rahm. Obama is CIA as we have been shown after his Occidental University so called attendance and joined the CIA for work in Pakistan and Afghanistan, so what we are seeing here, is, OUR COUNTRY IS BEING RUN BY THE INTELLIGENCE SERVICES and foreign occupying agents of another country through their banking system. Its finally coming together. I can't imagine how things could be any different than they are when you have those "perfect storm" conditions that promote the chaos and war that is going on, since both agencies and Israel are all trained to do nothing but that for their occupations and way of running their own country. Its why they will never run the world, since they lack fundamentals to do so successfully. What else did we expect.

If approved, the idea to delay hearings would be attached to broader legislation to allow interrogators to withhold Miranda warnings from terrorism suspects for lengthy periods, as Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. proposed last week.
The goal of both measures would be to open a window of time after an arrest in which interrogators could question (VN: Torture) a(n American) terrorism suspect without an interruption that might cause the prisoner to stop talking. It is not clear how long of a delay the administration is considering seeking.
The officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the proposal is still being developed, cautioned that it was not clear what the final proposal would include. Several aides to leading Democratic members of Congress said the administration had not approached their offices for detailed discussions of the matter, and the administration declined to comment on the internal deliberations.
Benjamin Wittes, a terrorism policy specialist at the Brookings Institution, said the issue of the timing of a Miranda warning was generating much more political attention because people were familiar with Miranda rights from television shows. But, he said, the need for an early “presentment” hearing is even more likely to disrupt an interrogation (VN: Torture session) because it involves transporting a suspect to a courtroom for a formal proceeding.

If approved, the idea to delay hearings would be attached to broader legislation to allow interrogators to withhold Miranda warnings from terrorism suspects for lengthy periods, as Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. proposed last week.
The goal of both measures would be to open a window of time after an arrest in which interrogators could question (VN: Torture) a(n American) terrorism suspect without an interruption that might cause the prisoner to stop talking. It is not clear how long of a delay the administration is considering seeking.
The officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the proposal is still being developed, cautioned that it was not clear what the final proposal would include. Several aides to leading Democratic members of Congress said the administration had not approached their offices for detailed discussions of the matter, and the administration declined to comment on the internal deliberations.
Benjamin Wittes, a terrorism policy specialist at the Brookings Institution, said the issue of the timing of a Miranda warning was generating much more political attention because people were familiar with Miranda rights from television shows. But, he said, the need for an early “presentment” hearing is even more likely to disrupt an interrogation (VN: Torture session) because it involves transporting a suspect to a courtroom for a formal proceeding.

Freelance journalist Kate Parkinson tells CBSNews.com the anti-government Red Shirts torched at least one police bus as hundreds of Thai troops advanced on their camp.
The government seemed to be growing weary of its containment strategy - attempting to keep the Red Shirts penned into a roughly one square mile encampment in the heart of the capital - and the protesters showed little willingness to back down, setting the stage for what could be a large-scale confrontation.
Parkinson says it looks increasingly like the government forces will try to force the Red Shirts out of their downtown Bangkok encampment, which has become home to as many as 20,000 people.

Until recently, I have mainly written about programming and methods to work through and attempt to resolve it. But as I am working on my own healing, I am coming to realize that while breaking programming is important (and often life-saving), that eventually it becomes important to deal with core issues. But in these groups, often the core issues are different than for the Illuminati *Even within the Illuminati, each individual will need to discover their own personal history, since parentage, bloodlines, and programming methods will differ, as well as the child’s eventual role in the group. This article is not meant to address all methods, or all survivor’s histories in the group.
I can’t speak for everyone who was abused in the group; I can only speak of what I myself am discovering about my own personal history, in the hopes that it will help other survivors through either validation, or to help supporters better understand some of the issues that they face during the process of remembering and healing.

Vatic Note: Trying to track down the funding behind this project has been a heck of a ride down the rabbit hole, but all paths to this project seems always to end up in a "private Equity firm" in switzerland with Rothschild possible connections and that of H.S.H. Prince Michael of Liechtenstein .
I am still trying to confirm all of this, and to see if there are any ties to the Tavistock group where many of the players here have been trained and educated in the Tavistock funded institutions such as the head of the Project Blue Brain (NIH in the US and sometime at MIT).

HUJI neuroscientist Prof. Idan Segev says the breakthrough in brain science will be as momentous as the Industrial Revolution.
To understand exactly how the human brain – the most complex machine in the universe – actually works, takes more than ordinary brain power.
A team that should eventually comprise thousands of staffers around the world using a supercomputer combining the computational power of 10,000 PCs is expected to reach its goal in about two more decades. And Israelis – led by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Prof. Idan Segev – are playing a key role in this effort, which is aimed not only at understanding the brain – with its hundreds of billions of neurons – but also at repairing diseased cells and tissues. Scientist David Keith, standing aside fellow geoengineers Ken Caldeira and Alan Robock, said in the geoengineering seminar on February 20 that they have decided to switch their stratospheric aerosol model from sulfur to aluminum. Keith went on to say that 10-20 MEGATONS per year of aerosolized aluminum will be sprayed into the atmosphere to deflect sunlight to halt global warming. No journalist prior to Murphy (and even now) has reported on the bait and switch by geoengineers.
Dane Wigington, a climate researcher and solar expert, cornered Keith in the question and answers that followed.

Vatic Note: UPDATE: Remember this is the incident where swat enter a home on a drug raid and killed two dogs in front of the children and brutalized the man of the house and scared the kids and wife. Remember this is the new militarized law enforcement and not about law enforcement, its about "fear" and "intimidation" and brainwashing people into compliance through those two tactics. We outnumber them by massive shear numbers and this is the only way to make massive numbers of people into compliant citizens with unquestioning obedience to whatever they are told to do. We figured that out when the police were handcuffing and arresting 5 year olds for a school yard tussle that would normally be handled by the school and parents, but now they arrest them. If this is done when they are young, the results are adults who will never imagine they have any ability to question anything. Its quite brilliant and I wonder if this was determined by the Tavistock institute through one of their grants to some university on mass mind control, along with the other tactics we have covered on here. The changes below did not address their actions within the house after breakin. So they intend to continue the intimidation and fear program.
SOLUTION: We must continue to respond as we did whenever brutal excessive force is used in normal and controllable situations. We must also begin to sue. Obtain the names of the perps and sue individually.
It is possible if that person or persons did that to one person, then they did it to others and advertising in the paper asking for others who were so treated to contact you and then begin a large class action law suit against the officers individually. The key is "consequences" and the longer they suffer none for their actions the closer to out of control they will become, similar to our bankers who are now completely out of control as we saw with the oil blow out and Goldman Sachs shorting just before the event. That is already resulting in massive damage to our environment, the likes of which the world has never seen before, so its time for consequences to be brought to bear.

May 11, 2010 "Too Much" -- A moment of silence, please, for Dan Duncan. The 77-year-old Duncan, a Houston resident, passed away the end of March. He left behind a spouse, four grown children, four grandkids — and a fortune worth $9 billion.
Duncan also left behind another distinction. He has become the first American billionaire to ever leave his heirs a tax-free fortune.
America’s first-ever billionaire — John D. Rockefeller — slid into the hereafter back in 1937. At that time, a federal estate tax had already been in effect for 21 years. John D.’s heirs faced a 70 percent tax rate on the bulk of his estate.
Dan Duncan’s heirs face a 0 percent estate tax levy. His son and three daughters have now become instant billionaires.
If Duncan had passed on last year, instead of this one, his heirs would have had to share their new billions, as many as four of them, with the rest of America. But this year, for the first time since 1916, no estate tax graces the tax code.
How much will the absence of an estate tax this year cost the federal treasury? We can’t say with any certainty. No one knows, after all, how many other billionaires may kick the bucket between now and December 31. We do know that in 2008, the latest year with figures available, the federal government collected $25.7 billion in estate tax revenue.
That sum, by coincidence, would be enough to fully fund the $23 billion Rep. George Miller from California and Senator Tom Harkin from Iowa want Congress to appropriate, as soon as possible, to avert the nation’s worst teacher layoff crisis since the Great Depression.
Two-thirds of the nation’s school districts, says a new American Association of School Administrators survey, have already axed educators. In the coming school year, without additional budget help, 90 percent expect to have to let jobs go.
That help, at this point, seems a longshot. The 2009 Obama administration stimulus legislation did save tens of thousands of teacher jobs. But the stimulus dollars earmarked for education are running out, and deficit hawks in Congress say the nation can’t afford to appropriate any more.
How can a civilized nation afford to hand the heirs of the super rich billions of dollars tax-free and not afford to keep teachers in classrooms?
We can trace our current budget inanity back to 2001, the year the Bush White House pushed Congress to repeal the federal estate tax. But the White House didn’t have the votes needed, under Senate rules, for a costly permanent repeal.
So White House officials cooked the budget books to camouflage the true cost of estate tax repeal. They maneuvered a tax bill through Congress that lowered estate tax rates over the rest of the decade and repealed the estate tax only for 2010. The estate tax, under the 2001 legislation, would then reappear in 2011.
White House strategists, of course, never expected to ever see this reappearance. They figured a future Congress would extend repeal beyond 2010.
But this “breathtakingly cynical” move, as the University of Cincinnati Law School’s Paul Caron notes, would prove too clever by half. By 2007, Bush had lost his House of Representatives majority and any realistic shot at making the repeal in 2010 permanent.
Supporters of the estate tax, meanwhile, assumed that the Congress elected in 2008 would legislate away the one-year estate tax repeal slated for 2010. But that didn’t happen either. In 2009, lawmakers deadlocked.
The friends of the financially fortunate in Congress, a bipartisan group, wanted any new estate tax set at a rate that would, at worse, merely inconvenience the super rich. Lawmakers less friendly to the fortunate wanted much more: estate tax rates high enough to break up grand concentrations of private wealth, a key goal of the reformers who championed the original estate tax a century ago.
Amid this stalemate, last year ended without any legislative estate tax action, and total estate tax repeal for 2010, as stipulated by the 2001 tax cut legislation, went into effect January 1.
The conventional wisdom on Capitol Hill then shifted. Lawmakers, observers opined, would move expeditiously in 2010 to pass some sort of an estate tax and make the levy retroactive for the entire year.
But no one in Congress, notes legal trade journal editor Scott Martin, apparently expected that a billionaire of Dan Duncan’s magnitude would actually go and die without an estate tax on the books. Duncan’s death has changed everything.
“Big estates,” explains editor Martin, “mean big lawyers ready to fight to see those billions of dollars go to the deceased’s heirs.”
Those lawyers will likely battle in the courts, to the last billable hour, any move to make the estate tax retroactive for all of 2010. And the longer 2010 goes without an estate tax on the books, the higher the chances the courts will agree.
In the meantime, none of the obituaries for Dan Duncan that have appeared since his death explore his status as America’s first estate tax-free billionaire. The obituaries have insteadgushed over Duncan’s philanthropy. He had contributed, over his last five years, more than $250 million to hospitals and other institutions.
But Duncan, by yardsticks that measure capacity to give, rates as distinctly second tier as a philanthropist. The first tier belongs to philanthropists like Judith Anderson, a teacher in Houston’s Almeda Elementary School.
Last week, on the occasion of National Teacher Appreciation Day, a local media outlet in Houston spotlighted Anderson’s long philanthropic history. Over the course of her 20-year school career, she has spent thousands of dollars on her students, all without reimbursement.
On one project alone, setting up a school soccer league, Anderson spent $2,000 — on a teacher’s salary. By comparison, Duncan’s energy pipeline empire now generates $600 million a year in annual cash flow. Next to that, $50 million in annual tax-deductible charitable contributions hardly matches the sacrifice that teachers like Judith Anderson are making year in and year out.
The reward for these sacrifices? Budget cuts that pink slip teachers and overcrowd classrooms, budget cuts that could be avoided if the rich were paying their appropriate tax share.
Dan Duncan, a close friend noted after his death, “really wanted to help everybody.” If Dan Duncan’s heirs really want to help everybody, they’ll troop over to Capitol Hill and demand the immediate reinstatement of a meaningful federal estate tax.
His billionaire heirs, odds are, won’t do that. That burden’s on the rest of us.

Not surprisingly, the January 2007 issue of the American Journal of Imperial Law--otherwise known as the self-styled American Journal of International Law but originally founded a century ago and still operated by U. S. War and State Department legal apparatchiks and their law professorial fellow-travelers--published an article by Harvard Law School's recently retired Bemis Professor of International Law Detlev Vagts (who only taught me the required course on Legal Accounting) arguing in favor of the Pentagon's Kangaroo Courts System on Guantanamo despite the fact that they have been soundly condemned by every human rights organization and every human rights official and leader in the entire world as well as by the United States Supreme Court itself in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld (2006).
I am not going to bother to recite here all the grievous deficiencies of the Gitmo Kangaroo Courts under International Law and U.S. Constitutional Law. But suffice it to say that the Gitmo Kangaroo Courts constitute war crimes under the Laws of War, the Four Geneva Conventions of 1949, and even the U. S. Army's own Field Manual 27-10, The Law of Land Warfare (1956). Field Manual 27-10 was drafted for the Pentagon by my Laws of War teacher Richard R. Baxter, who was generally recognized as the world's leading expert on that subject. That is precisely why I voluntarily chose to study International Law with him and his long-time collaborator Louis B. Sohn, and not with the bean-counter Vagts. For the entire post-World War II generation of international law students at Harvard Law School, Louis Sohn shall always be our real Bemis Professor of International Law and never the False Pretender to that Throne known as Detlev Vagts.
Since those student days I have personally appeared pro bono publico in five U.S. military courts-martial proceedings involving warfare that were organized in accordance with the Congress's Uniform Code of Military Justice (U.C.M.J.)--which still does not apply to the Gitmo Kangaroo Courts despite the ruling by the U. S. Supreme Court in Hamdan that the U.C.M.J. should be applied in Guantanamo--on behalf of five U. S. military personnel who each acted as matters of courage, integrity, principle, conscience and at great risk to their own freedom:
1.. U. S. Marine Corporal Jeff Paterson, the first U.S. military resister to President Bush Sr.'s genocidal war against Iraq;
2. Army Captain Doctor Yolanda Huet-Vaughn, the highest ranking U. S. commissioned officer to be court-martialed for refusing to participate in President Bush Sr.'s genocidal war against Iraq;
3. Captain Lawrence Rockwood, who was court-martialed by the U. S. Army for trying to stop torture in Haiti after the Clinton administration had illegally invaded that country in 1994;
4. Army Staff Sergeant Camilo Mejia, the first U. S. military resister to be court-martialed for refusing to participate in President Bush Jr.'s war of aggression against Iraq; and
5. Army First Lieutenant Ehren Watada, the first U. S. commissioned officer to be court-martialed for his refusal to participate in President Bush Jr.'s war of aggression against Iraq.
As I can attest from my direct personal involvement, each and every one of these five courts-martial under the U.C.M.J. were Stalinist show-trials produced and directed by the Pentagon that predictably and readily degenerated into travesties of justice. These five U.C.M.J. courts-martial involving U.S. warfare each proved correct the old adage attributed to Groucho Marx that military justice is to justice as military music is to music. By comparison, the Gitmo Kangaroo Courts will not even be run in accordance with the U.C.M.J. despite the fact that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Hamdan that they should be. The Marx Brothers are running the Gitmo Kangaroo Courts.
Whenever they are up and fully operating the Gitmo Courts will constitute Stalinist Show Trials as well as Kangaroo Courts, and their preliminary proceedings have already proven them to be Travesties of Justice. Even worse yet, fully-functioning Stalinist Gitmo Kangaroo Courts will quickly become conveyor-belts of death for alleged and already tortured terrorist suspects along the lines of the Texas execution chamber operated by George Bush Jr. when he was the "governor" of that state and tortured to death 152 victims by means of lethal injection. Gitmo and/or Gitmo-North in Illinois will become Americas first-ever Nazi-style death camp.
But today under the Four Geneva Conventions of 1949, executing persons detained as a result of armed conflict without a fair trial before a regularly constituted court constitutes a grave war crime. To be sure, under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution Harvard Law Professor Vagts has the freedom to advocate war crimes so long as he does not participate in their commission, or incite them, or aid and abet them. But precisely where is that line to be drawn for law professors?
In this regard, the Harvard Law School Faculty currently has at least five professors who have advocated torture and war crimes:
1. Vagts himself, who supported abusing the then recently captured President of Iraq Saddam Hussein despite his being publicly acknowledged to be a Prisoner of War by the Bush Jr. administration itself and thus absolutely protected by the Third Geneva Convention of 1949 and the Convention against Torture;
2. the infamous Alan Dershowitz, a self-incriminated war criminal in his own right. Dersh publicly acknowledged being a member of a Mossad Committee for approving the murder and assassination of Palestinians, which violates the Geneva Conventions and is thus a grave war crime;
3. the Neo-Con Con Law non-entity known as Richard Parker;
4. Another one of my teachers, Waco Phil Heymann. Previously, Waco Phil had been Deputy to U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno, the Butcher of Waco. Reno ordered the Waco Massacre, while Heymann ordered its cover-up and thus earned his well-deserved sobriquet of Waco Phil as an Accessory After The Fact. All those incinerated women and children!
5. The war criminal Jack Goldsmith who while working as a lawyer for the Bush Jr. administration at both the Pentagon and later its Department of In-Justice did much of the legal spade-work designing, justifying and approving the hideous human rights atrocities that the Bush Jr. administration inflicted on everyone after 9/11. Goldsmith and his co-felon accomplice and co-conspirator from the Bush Jr. administration Professor John Yoo--now desecrating Berkeley's Law School where my friend and colleague the late, great Dean Frank Newman had taught Human Rights and International Law--are functionally analogous to Nazi Law Professor Carl Schmitt, who justified every hideous atrocity that Hitler and the Nazis inflicted on anyone, including the Jews.
Despite my best efforts to prevent it, the Harvard Law School Faculty and Deans hired the war criminal Goldsmith right out of the Bush Jr. administration knowing full well that he was up to his eyeballs in the Gitmo Kangaroo Courts, torture, war crimes, enforced disappearances, murder, kidnapping, and crimes against humanity, at a minimum. And when Goldsmith's proverbial "smoking-gun" Department of In-Justice Memorandum was published by the Washington Post, then Harvard Law School's Dean Elena Kagan contemptuously boasted in response about how "proud" she was to have hired this notorious war criminal. Previously Kagan had also publicly bragged that the future of International Legal Studies at Harvard Law School would be in the "good hands" of their resident war criminal Goldsmith. How perversely and tragically true! The Neo-Conservative Harvard Law School Faculty and Deans deliberately hired this Neo-Nazi legal architect of the Bush Jr. administration's bogus and nefarious "war against terrorism" because they fully support it together with all its essential accouterments of torture, kangaroo courts, war crimes, murder, kidnapping, enforced disappearances, crimes against humanity, and Nuremburg crimes against peace.
By contrast, after the terrorist bombing of the Murrah Federal Building by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols in alleged revenge for the Waco Massacre and Cover-up by Janet Reno and Waco Phil Heymann, to the best of my recollection I do not remember that the Neo-Conservative Harvard Law School Faculty and Deans advocated kangaroo courts, torture, war crimes, and racist profiling for America's population of White Judeo-Christian Males. Yet after 9/11 the fundamentally White Racist Harvard Law School Faculty and Deans have no problem with inflicting torture, kangaroo courts, war crimes, and racist profiling upon Muslims/Arabs/Asians of Color, which is exactly why they hired the war criminal Goldsmith to teach such criminal practices to their own law students and thus someday turn them into racist U. S. governmental war criminals in their own right. This is because for the most part the Harvard Law School Faculty and Deans have always been viscerally bigoted and racist against Muslims/Arabs/Asians and other People of Color since at least when I first matriculated there in September of 1971.
The Harvard Law School (H.L.S.) Faculty and Deans are no longer fit to educate Lawyers, Members of the Bar, and Officers of the Court. They are a sick joke and a demented fraud. As for Harvard Laws Neo-Con Dean Kagan, Harvard Law Graduate President Barack Obama appointed her Solicitor General in his Department of Justice as the third highest ranking official in that department and thus as the proverbial Tenth Justice for the 9-Justice U.S. Supreme Court. In this capacity Kagan has quarter-backed, supervised, and defended in all U.S. federal courts the Obama administrations continuation of the Bush Jr. administrations hideous atrocities perpetrated against human rights, international law, civil rights, civil liberties, the U.S. Constitution, and Americas Bill of Rights. As payback for her yeoman Neo-Con efforts, Kagan is now reportedly at the top of a very short list for President Obama to nominate to the U.S. Supreme Court upon the expected retirement of Mr. Justice Stevens, the reputed leader of the Courts oeliberalwing.
Of course Stevens widespread denomination as a 'liberal' just proves how far to the reactionary right the Supreme Court has moved since Stevens was recommended for the Supremes to President Gerald Ford by the arch-reactionary jurist Edward Hirsh Levi, then U.S. Attorney General and previously Dean of the arch-reactionary University of Chicago Law School where Antonin Scalia, Obama, Kagan, and her pet war criminal Goldsmith would all teach. As President of the entire arch-reactionary University of Chicago itself, Levi drove out about 30% of my undergraduate class that in 1968 had unwittingly entered this Birthplace and Warren for the Neo-Con Movement that was founded there by Chicago Professor Leo Strauss, a protégé of Nazi Law Professor Carl Schmitt. Americas Neo-Cons are Neo-Nazis.
In an interview she recently gave to National Public Radio, Obamas Neo-Con Solicitor General Kagan went out of her way to proclaim: "I love the Federalist Society!" (Emphasis in the original.) The Federalist Society is a gang of lawyers, law professors, and judges who for the most part are right-wing, racist, bigoted, reactionary, elitist, war-mongering, and totalitarian. For example, almost all of the Bush Jr. administration lawyers responsible for its war criminal torture scandal were and still are members of the Federalist Society.
Likewise, five Justices on the current U.S. Supreme Court were/are members of the Federalist Society: Harvard Law Graduate Roberts; Harvard Law Graduate Scalia; Harvard Law Graduate Kennedy; Yale Law Graduate Thomas; and Yale Law Graduate Alito. That's what an 'elite' legal education will do for you. In any event, H.L.S. President Obama's elevation of the H.L.S. Not surprisingly, the January 2007 issue of the American Journal of Imperial Law--otherwise known as the self-styled American Journal of International Law but originally founded a century ago and still operated by U. S. War and State Department legal apparatchiks and their law professorial fellow-travelers--published an article by Harvard Law School's recently retired Bemis Professor of International Law Detlev Vagts (who only taught me the required course on Legal Accounting) arguing in favor of the Pentagon's Kangaroo Courts System on Guantanamo despite the fact that they have been soundly condemned by every human rights organization and every human rights official and leader in the entire world as well as by the United States Supreme Court itself in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld (2006).
I am not going to bother to recite here all the grievous deficiencies of the Gitmo Kangaroo Courts under International Law and U.S. Constitutional Law. But suffice it to say that the Gitmo Kangaroo Courts constitute war crimes under the Laws of War, the Four Geneva Conventions of 1949, and even the U. S. Army's own Field Manual 27-10, The Law of Land Warfare (1956). Field Manual 27-10 was drafted for the Pentagon by my Laws of War teacher Richard R. Baxter, who was generally recognized as the world's leading expert on that subject. That is precisely why I voluntarily chose to study International Law with him and his long-time collaborator Louis B. Sohn, and not with the bean-counter Vagts. For the entire post-World War II generation of international law students at Harvard Law School, Louis Sohn shall always be our real Bemis Professor of International Law and never the False Pretender to that Throne known as Detlev Vagts.
Since those student days I have personally appeared pro bono publico in five U.S. military courts-martial proceedings involving warfare that were organized in accordance with the Congress's Uniform Code of Military Justice (U.C.M.J.)--which still does not apply to the Gitmo Kangaroo Courts despite the ruling by the U. S. Supreme Court in Hamdan that the U.C.M.J. should be applied in Guantanamo--on behalf of five U. S. military personnel who each acted as matters of courage, integrity, principle, conscience and at great risk to their own freedom:
1.. U. S. Marine Corporal Jeff Paterson, the first U.S. military resister to President Bush Sr.'s genocidal war against Iraq;
2. Army Captain Doctor Yolanda Huet-Vaughn, the highest ranking U. S. commissioned officer to be court-martialed for refusing to participate in President Bush Sr.'s genocidal war against Iraq;
3. Captain Lawrence Rockwood, who was court-martialed by the U. S. Army for trying to stop torture in Haiti after the Clinton administration had illegally invaded that country in 1994;
4. Army Staff Sergeant Camilo Mejia, the first U. S. military resister to be court-martialed for refusing to participate in President Bush Jr.'s war of aggression against Iraq; and
5. Army First Lieutenant Ehren Watada, the first U. S. commissioned officer to be court-martialed for his refusal to participate in President Bush Jr.'s war of aggression against Iraq.
As I can attest from my direct personal involvement, each and every one of these five courts-martial under the U.C.M.J. were Stalinist show-trials produced and directed by the Pentagon that predictably and readily degenerated into travesties of justice. These five U.C.M.J. courts-martial involving U.S. warfare each proved correct the old adage attributed to Groucho Marx that military justice is to justice as military music is to music. By comparison, the Gitmo Kangaroo Courts will not even be run in accordance with the U.C.M.J. despite the fact that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Hamdan that they should be. The Marx Brothers are running the Gitmo Kangaroo Courts.
Whenever they are up and fully operating the Gitmo Courts will constitute Stalinist Show Trials as well as Kangaroo Courts, and their preliminary proceedings have already proven them to be Travesties of Justice. Even worse yet, fully-functioning Stalinist Gitmo Kangaroo Courts will quickly become conveyor-belts of death for alleged and already tortured terrorist suspects along the lines of the Texas execution chamber operated by George Bush Jr. when he was the "governor" of that state and tortured to death 152 victims by means of lethal injection. Gitmo and/or Gitmo-North in Illinois will become Americas first-ever Nazi-style death camp.
But today under the Four Geneva Conventions of 1949, executing persons detained as a result of armed conflict without a fair trial before a regularly constituted court constitutes a grave war crime. To be sure, under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution Harvard Law Professor Vagts has the freedom to advocate war crimes so long as he does not participate in their commission, or incite them, or aid and abet them. But precisely where is that line to be drawn for law professors?
In this regard, the Harvard Law School Faculty currently has at least five professors who have advocated torture and war crimes:
1. Vagts himself, who supported abusing the then recently captured President of Iraq Saddam Hussein despite his being publicly acknowledged to be a Prisoner of War by the Bush Jr. administration itself and thus absolutely protected by the Third Geneva Convention of 1949 and the Convention against Torture;
2. the infamous Alan Dershowitz, a self-incriminated war criminal in his own right. Dersh publicly acknowledged being a member of a Mossad Committee for approving the murder and assassination of Palestinians, which violates the Geneva Conventions and is thus a grave war crime;
3. the Neo-Con Con Law non-entity known as Richard Parker;
4. Another one of my teachers, Waco Phil Heymann. Previously, Waco Phil had been Deputy to U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno, the Butcher of Waco. Reno ordered the Waco Massacre, while Heymann ordered its cover-up and thus earned his well-deserved sobriquet of Waco Phil as an Accessory After The Fact. All those incinerated women and children!
5. The war criminal Jack Goldsmith who while working as a lawyer for the Bush Jr. administration at both the Pentagon and later its Department of In-Justice did much of the legal spade-work designing, justifying and approving the hideous human rights atrocities that the Bush Jr. administration inflicted on everyone after 9/11. Goldsmith and his co-felon accomplice and co-conspirator from the Bush Jr. administration Professor John Yoo--now desecrating Berkeley's Law School where my friend and colleague the late, great Dean Frank Newman had taught Human Rights and International Law--are functionally analogous to Nazi Law Professor Carl Schmitt, who justified every hideous atrocity that Hitler and the Nazis inflicted on anyone, including the Jews.
Despite my best efforts to prevent it, the Harvard Law School Faculty and Deans hired the war criminal Goldsmith right out of the Bush Jr. administration knowing full well that he was up to his eyeballs in the Gitmo Kangaroo Courts, torture, war crimes, enforced disappearances, murder, kidnapping, and crimes against humanity, at a minimum. And when Goldsmith's proverbial "smoking-gun" Department of In-Justice Memorandum was published by the Washington Post, then Harvard Law School's Dean Elena Kagan contemptuously boasted in response about how "proud" she was to have hired this notorious war criminal. Previously Kagan had also publicly bragged that the future of International Legal Studies at Harvard Law School would be in the "good hands" of their resident war criminal Goldsmith. How perversely and tragically true! The Neo-Conservative Harvard Law School Faculty and Deans deliberately hired this Neo-Nazi legal architect of the Bush Jr. administration's bogus and nefarious "war against terrorism" because they fully support it together with all its essential accouterments of torture, kangaroo courts, war crimes, murder, kidnapping, enforced disappearances, crimes against humanity, and Nuremburg crimes against peace.
By contrast, after the terrorist bombing of the Murrah Federal Building by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols in alleged revenge for the Waco Massacre and Cover-up by Janet Reno and Waco Phil Heymann, to the best of my recollection I do not remember that the Neo-Conservative Harvard Law School Faculty and Deans advocated kangaroo courts, torture, war crimes, and racist profiling for America's population of White Judeo-Christian Males. Yet after 9/11 the fundamentally White Racist Harvard Law School Faculty and Deans have no problem with inflicting torture, kangaroo courts, war crimes, and racist profiling upon Muslims/Arabs/Asians of Color, which is exactly why they hired the war criminal Goldsmith to teach such criminal practices to their own law students and thus someday turn them into racist U. S. governmental war criminals in their own right. This is because for the most part the Harvard Law School Faculty and Deans have always been viscerally bigoted and racist against Muslims/Arabs/Asians and other People of Color since at least when I first matriculated there in September of 1971.
