The recent 15th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade towers was a reminder of the terrible consequences when a nation ignores the lessons of history—including its own recent history. The U.S. military budget is a tragic example.

We currently spend roughly $598 billion on defense, which is more than the next seven biggest military spenders combined: China, Saudi Arabia, Russia, the United Kingdom, India, France, and Japan. This represents 54 percent of federal discretionary spending. In return, we get an ability to rapidly deploy conventional military power anywhere in the world.

The 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center was the most devastating foreign-sourced attack on the United States since the War of 1812. It was carried out by a largely self-organized band of 19 religious fanatics of varied nationalities, affiliated with a small, dispersed, and loosely organized international network. We responded by invading and occupying Afghanistan and Iraq. This led to hundreds of thousands of pointless deaths, destabilization of the Middle East, and a cost to the U.S. Treasury of some $4 trillion to $6 trillion.

I view all this in part through the lens of my experience as an Air Force captain during the Vietnam War. I briefed pilots headed for Vietnam on the psychological consequences of bombing civilian populations. I later served in the Defense Department’s office overseeing defense-related behavioral and social science research.

When Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump address the American Legion’s upcoming national convention,  they will no doubt explain why they are the right choice to be the next commander-in-chief.

What they probably won’t talk about is the high number of veterans who will die by their own hand during the week-long conference.

According to a recent report by the Department of Veteran Affairs, 7,300 veterans killed themselves in 2014 — an average of 20 per day.  This is more than the entire number of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan to date.

If this trend keeps up, by the end of the American Legion conference, 140 veterans will have killed themselves.

Early this year, a Facebook user in Baghdad using the name Hussein Mahyawi posted a photograph of a slightly worn M4 assault rifle he was offering for sale. Veterans of the latest war in Iraq immediately recognized it. It was a standard American carbine equipped with a holographic sight, a foregrip that was military-issue during the occupation and a sticker bearing a digital QR code used by American forces for inventory control. Except for one detail — an aftermarket pistol grip, the sort of accessory with which combatants of the current generation often pimp their guns — it was a dead ringer for any of the tens of thousands of M4s the Pentagon handed out to Iraqi security forces and various armed militias after toppling Saddam Hussein in 2003. And here it was on the open market, ready for bids.

Was this a surprise? No. A little more than four years after the United States withdrew all its military forces from Iraq, and not quite two years after a smaller number of American troops began returning to the country to help fight the Islamic State, the open sale of such an M4 was part of Iraq’s day-to-day arms-trafficking routine. Mahyawi’s carbine was another data point attesting to an extraordinary and dangerous failure of American arms-trafficking and public accountability and to a departure from a modern military’s most basic practice: keeping track of the guns.

Since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the United States has handed out a vast but persistently uncountable quantity of military firearms to its many battlefield partners in Afghanistan and Iraq. Today the Pentagon has only a partial idea of how many weapons it issued, much less where these weapons are. Meanwhile, the effectively bottomless abundance of black-market weapons from American sources is one reason Iraq will not recover from its post-invasion woes anytime soon.

An inkling of just how expansive these arms transfers were, and how stubbornly resistant they are to precise measurement, is apparent in a new attempt at weapons-tallying compiled in a project led by Iain Overton. Overton is a former BBC journalist who is now the executive director of Action on Armed Violence, a charity based in London that researches and lobbies against weapons proliferation and violence against civilians; he is also the author of “The Way of the Gun,” a dark examination of some of the roles firearms play in modern society. With a string of Freedom of Information Act requests that began last year, he and his small team of researchers pooled 14 years’ worth of Pentagon contract information related to rifles, pistols, machine guns and their associated attachments and ammunition, both for American troops and for their partners and proxies. They then crosschecked the data against other public records. Overton is releasing the data and his analysis today. It covers 412 contracts and merits pause for reflection as the parties to the international Arms Trade Treaty gather this week in Geneva. The treaty, which took effect in 2014 and of which the United States is a signatory, is intended to promote transparency and responsible action in the transfer of conventional arms and to reduce their diversion to unintended hands — exactly what the United States often failed to do in recent wars.

In all, Overton found, the Pentagon provided more than 1.45 million firearms to various security forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, including more than 978,000 assault rifles, 266,000 pistols and almost 112,000 machine guns. These transfers formed a collage of firearms of mixed vintage and type: Kalashnikov assault rifles left over from the Cold War; recently manufactured NATO-standard M16s and M4s from American factories; machine guns of Russian and Western lineage; and sniper rifles, shotguns and pistols of varied provenance and caliber, including a large order of Glock semiautomatic pistols, a type of weapon also regularly offered for sale online in Iraq.

NEW YORK, Aug 19 (Reuters) - The United States Army's finances are so jumbled it had to make trillions of dollars of improper accounting adjustments to create an illusion that its books are balanced.

The Defense Department's Inspector General, in a June report, said the Army made $2.8 trillion in wrongful adjustments to accounting entries in one quarter alone in 2015, and $6.5 trillion for the year. Yet the Army lacked receipts and invoices to support those numbers or simply made them up.

As a result, the Army's financial statements for 2015 were "materially misstated," the report concluded. The "forced" adjustments rendered the statements useless because "DoD and Army managers could not rely on the data in their accounting systems when making management and resource decisions."

Known as “Little America” in this mainly rural corner of Germany, the area now includes 57,000 US citizens clustered around Ramstein and a dozen smaller bases. The Defense Department calls it “the largest American community outside of the United States.” Ramstein serves as the biggest Air Force cargo port beyond US borders, providing “full spectrum airfield operations” along with “world-class airlift and expeditionary combat support.” The base also touts “superior” services and “exceptional quality of life.” To look at Ramstein and environs is to peer into a faraway mirror for the United States; what’s inside the frame is normality for endless war.

Ramstein’s gigantic Exchange store (largest in the US military) is the centerpiece for an oversize shopping mall, just like back home. A greeting from the Holy Family Catholic Community at Ramstein tells newcomers: “We know that being in the military means having to endure frequent moves to different assignments. This is part of the price we pay by serving our country.” Five American colleges have campuses on the base. Ellenmarie Zwank Brown, who identifies herself as “an Air Force wife and a physician,” is reassuring in a cheerful guidebook that she wrote for new arrivals: “If you are scared of giving up your American traditions, don’t worry! The military goes out of its way to give military members an American way of life while living in Germany.”

Over the course of American warfare, the battlefield has grown increasingly less intimate. If the soldiers at Lexington and Concord had to be within 100 feet to seriously injure their British foes, killing by drones allows US troops to be half a world away from their targets. The psychological toll, however, has not necessarily dissipated in kind.

The words above are from an open letter to the Obama administration, crafted by four former Air Force servicemen, each of whom played a role in the nation’s targeted killing program. The moral pang of the letter reflects a very basic ethical tenet, in the words of German philosopher Immanuel Kant: “Every man has a conscience and finds himself observed . . . by an internal judge . . . [that] follows him like his shadow when he plans to escape.”

Concluding the letter, the former soldiers write that after suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, “We were cut loose by the same government we gave so much to — sent out in the world without adequate medical care, reliable health services, or necessary benefits. Some of us are now homeless. Others of us barely make it.”

Drone warfare has largely been absent from this year’s presidential elections so far, with most of the national security debate focused on the threat of the Islamic State. Yet the next commander-in-chief will undoubtedly be forced to deal head on with a rapidly evolving military, one that increasingly depends on unmanned aircraft to target enemies. To date, Donald Trump has not outlined his policy on drones but has advocated for broader aerial offensives against the Islamic State. Hilary Clinton, who was involved in the Obama administration’s drone operations in Somalia, Yemen, and Pakistan, has repeatedly endorsed the targeted killing campaign overseas as a way to combat terrorist threats. Nonetheless, whoever assumes the presidency in 2017 will have choices to make regarding the scope of the Unites States’ drone war, and — perhaps just as importantly — the way that it is overseen by both the armed forces and the American public.

At the center of this decision-making must be the soldiers being asked to fight it. Indeed, now is the time for American citizens to reevaluate the moral standing of war on terror but also to revisit longstanding norms regarding conscientious objection, whistle-blowing, and military loyalty.

You fight, you kill, you watch friends die, and you notice a distinct lack of change. You kick in doors and tell terrified women to sit on the floor while you and your friends ransack their home, tearing the place apart, because they might be hiding weapons.

There is no reason to believe this house in particular is enemy, same for the next one, and the one after that, or the seven before; they just happened to be there, and maybe they had weapons. Probably not, they almost never did.’

Vatic Note:   The first point I would like to make is the fact that our military operates under the command of the civilian leaders, so the question is " who was President in 1952?"   What we discovered is that Eisenhower s spelling of his name was "Eisenhauer",  which has proven to be khazarian or ashkenazi Jew from Europe.  He was the President at that time, with Truman, just before him,  so is there a connection?

What is interesting is what this video below shows in a training video, done in 1952, that has today, become our new reality.   Our people are suffering from various and asundry Food allergies, like never before, our water is the same way, and coughing and various sinus infections are also now becoming our new reality.

I also remember, when this happened, the khazar zionist owned press said nothing about the gas having come from Israel or Turkey, rather it said that Assad gassed his own people.   So the press is up for indictments and trials for role in all of this.  I am sick of us having to dig up our own news and truth.  That was the press's job and they are failing at it, miserably.  They are proving that we don't even need a press anymore..... since we have been exposing so much ourselves.  Its nice to have one you can trust, but not necessary now and more and more citizens are turning to the alternative press for truth and exposure of that truth.  Our people are finally waking up, thank goodness.  Its well past time.

I think we should have gone further with this and called for more than  just an investigation on psychological operations, but on the entire ISIS FRAUD perpetrated by a foreign ally, using USA citizens tax resources to do it, especially resources in the pentagon and in the CIA and Homeland Security, that has been run by Dual Israeli citizens to insure Israel's interests in their actions.

(VN: that is called "treason", pure and simple and it a death penalty offense in time of war.  If we are not at war right now, then I don't when we have ever been at war as defined by our actions.)

On Monday, April 5, Wikileaks.org posted video footage from Iraq, taken from a US military Apache helicopter in July 2007 as soldiers aboard it killed 12 people and wounded two children. The dead included two employees of the Reuters news agency: photographer Namir Noor-Eldeen and driver Saeed Chmagh.

The US military confirmed the authenticity of the video.

The footage clearly shows an unprovoked slaughter, and is shocking to watch whilst listening to the casual conversation of the soldiers in the background.

This is classic fasicsm.  Catherine Fitts described the intentional restructuring we are going through by saying that we are communist in Liability for corporations,  but fascist in profits for corps.   The corporations take over the government, through the revolving door process such as Goldman sachs ex CEO serving as Treasury secretary,  and then they contract with private industry to privatize government services thereby having corporations become the gov with no accountability.  They are not elected rather hired.   Quite brilliant.   If only that brilliance had been used to advance society rather than to destroy it,  we would be sitting pretty.   This is one lesson we must never forget and to indoctrinate your children into never letting this happen again.  They did this in Russia during the Russian Revolution and destroyed that country.  Once they extracted all the wealth they could, they gave it back.  Do not kid yourself, it was not the people who rebelled.   Just like it was not the "people" who rebelled in Libya, Egypt and Tunisia, it was the CIA, MI6, and Mossad black ops that did that and the results confirm that fact.  Its the back door way to conduct a secret war against another country such as Israel is doing to the United States, without getting hurt yourselves.  COWARDS.

This edition of True Democracy (La verdad sobre la democracia) is devoted to everyone who ever suffered from the hegemony of the United States government. In other words, this edition of my unique magazine is devoted to nearly everyone.

To disband the CIA wouldn't do much good (see the first edition) because the Defense Intelligence Agency would be given the same responsibilities that the CIA had so it was with gratitude that I obtained the documentation which you will read within these pages because the Defense Intelligence Agency is part of the "Shadow Government" or the government you've most likely never been aware existed.

The Shadow Government is composed of five branches of government, not three as the framers fashioned. If you have read the first edition of my unique empowering magazine you would have read about four of the agencies or organizations because of my immense good fortune had made me aware that either President Kennedy wanted to disband them which resulted in his assassination or I had learned of them because of my being in the right place at the right time so many times that I learned of them. Specifically, I speak of the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderbergs, two elite organizations which need to be exposed to decent people of the world like you.

US launched secret 'space warplane' (See UPDATE in the SOHO section)

UPDATE:  Its taken a whole year for this to get up again. Notice the dates.   Amazing.  Guess they did not like this one at all.   Lets hope it stays up this time.  I honestly believe they intend to use military space weapons on us since they are getting so very desperate right now since they are absolutely losing control over everything.   Even WW III is not going well either.  No one supports it and everyone knows exactly what it is.... a war for profit at the cost to taxpayers in wealth and lives of our children.  NO WAY..... they have a war, we do it against the international bankers, rothschild and Israel.   Every person on this planet becomes allies on one side against those three.   Everywhere on the face of this earth. 

Vatic Note: I finished this one time and they completely without any warning totally wiped out all the work I had done.  They didn't tell me why they did it, no warning, and my experience with them is they will only do that with a FISA court warrant. So maybe some part of this hit home. A coincidence that this "secret space warplane" with a secret weapons testing mission happens days before all the dead birds and fish in the oceans and on land.  Was this a test run of a new secret weapon in space?.  Is this the plan for depopulation?   Are they going to use their aircraft carrier sized space vehicle to deliver the blow?   Is the Iron Mountain report of 1966 recommending ecodisasters and destruction as the mode for globalizing?   They did the same thing with the oil blow out rig in the gulf in testing the weapon.   We had video of the two beams used and later the video was gutted and replaced with a photo shop making it look like a camera anomoly.    In seeing other photos of the same supposed "blow out" on another rig in Australia, that was not even close to what happened on this one. Is this what the oil tragedy was covering up? Who knows until more information can come out. Below this article is also information on SOHO being down for 3 days which is weird, with no explanation and a link from an email I received showing a massive distortion in the suns magnetic field with the distortion facing our planet. A dozen American soldiers have been charged with alleged killing of innocent Afghan civilians as a sport and collecting their fingers as trophies.

At least twelve US soldiers were accused of forming a secret "kill team" that shot and blew up civilians at random.

Five of the soldiers were charged with murdering three Afghan men in separate attacks in southern Kandahar province this year.


The three Afghan victims were shot. Two were also hit with grenades in what has proved to be one of the most serious war-crime cases to emerge from the Afghan war.

Seven other soldiers were accused of covering up the killings and assaulting another soldier who exposed the murders when he reported other abuses.

The United States has a long and rich history of exporting terrorism abroad, according to a CIA memo released by Wikileaks on Wednesday. After noting several incidents in which American Muslims launched much-discussed attacks abroad, the analysts warned, “less attention has been paid to homegrown terrorism… exported overseas” by non-Muslim groups.

The February 5 memo, marked “secret/ noforn” (the intelligence community’s designation for "not for release to foreign nationals"), was penned by the CIA’s “Red Cell,” a group tasked with “taking a pronounced ‘out-of-the-box’ approach” in order to “offer an alternative viewpoint on the full range of analytic issues.”

“Contrary to common belief,” noted the anonymous authors, “the American export of terrorism or terrorists is not a recent phenomenon, nor has it been associated only with Islamic radicals or people of Middle Eastern, African or South Asian ethnic origin.” According to the analysts, Jewish extremists “have supported and even engaged in violent acts against perceived enemies of Israel,” and “some Irish-Americans have long provided financial and material support for violent efforts to compel the United Kingdom to relinquish control of Northern Ireland.”

The report highlighted the consequences of American violence abroad. In 1994, Baruch Goldstein, an American Jewish doctor from New York, “emigrated to Israel, joined the extremist group Kach, and killed 29 Palestinians during their prayers in the mosque at the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron.” The deadly attack “helped to trigger a wave of bus bombings by HAMAS in early 1995.” Kach was founded by Meier Kahane, an American Israeli rabbi best described as a “radical cleric.”
