  5. The GOP's rigging of the election knocked the air out of me, it is is reflected in my efforts to maintain the Vatic Project.

    I have not the time to maintain the project the way the late Vatic Master did. I have to question its value, because she was just re-using content from other sources. Granted, I did counsel her about re-purposing the whole thing, because you never know when the source link is going to go away, the problem remains with how do you find information? She didn't use labels, and I didn't get very far in her 7k+ back-press in applying them. In order to be relevant, the project needs to have timely news. But to re-purpose content so quickly after something relevant appears can be stressful.

    Actually, it was easy to find content from my normal reading material and to have a plan for the month. It is just that obtaining clean HTML for re-purpose ends up being a time-suck. The labeling of the back-press is another. Hasn't been much resonance one way or another on the merits.

    I need to find mini-projects to work on -- a theme at a time -- rather than trying to remain abreast with clean re-purposing of other's content or the labeling. If I had help, it'd be a different story.

    I could go on, but in a nutshell I have given up for the time being until I can find a purpose that motivates me. Doing the publishing grind for the grind's sake benefits no one, particularly when the content is already available.

    All the best,

    // vc
