Vatic Note: This is great news, so the beginning of the end of "soft kill" using our food supply is about to begin its ending. This ends the soft Kill for Hawaiians and the healing process can begin. Now that some states have legalized Cannabis, this could be beginning of the healing period by natural remedies in our society.
I don't want to sound too optomistic, so lets check back with each other in a year and see how far we have come during that time. This is an excellent read since it gives us a thumbnail picture of what the imapact of GMO has been on these islands. Because of their growing season, its much bigger than the impact on the rest of the country. Give this a read and let us know what you think.

Big News! Hawaii’s Big Island Moves Closer to Being GMO-Free!
Hot off the presses – Mayor Kenoi on the Big Island, in Hawaii, recently signed Bill 113 into law, prohibiting GMOs.
The bill prohibits biotech companies from operating on the island, and
stops farmers from growing new GM crops. This is a historical moment
for Hawaii, a place which has been called ‘ground zero for GMOs.’
Mayor Kenoi has taken a huge stand against agrichemical companies and actually followed the will of the people. Big Island, Hawaii will hopefully lead the way for the rest of the islands as well as the rest of the United States.
