Actually, everything you see on TV and in movies is an advertisement for somebody's worldview. Have you noticed that TV characters are deemed respectable in inverse proportion to their ability to do things for themselves and directly in proportion to their dependence on corporations doing thing for them? In their apartments, do you see anything they made themselves, including their clothing?
